To be blunt, the game has come a long way and I am confident that even the most critical players will be really impressed with the results. I write this knowing full well the issues the project showed at E3 and I also state that the majority of those issues have been obliterated. The game runs smoothly now. The camera dynamically follows the action, offering the most cinematic viewpoint. The combat allows for dozens of on-screen enemies. Animations are much more fluid and transitions more natural. And for you tech nuts, Too Human is running with four times anti-aliasing, eight light sources per character, soft shadowing, depth of field blur galore, and much more. The engine will wow you. Some of the in-game models are truly incredible.

He came off as someone who could not take criticism well and as far as I'm concerned, hurt his game more than the preview ever could. If that game is anything less than stellar, His rep in the industry is going to be seriously damaged..It's recommended listening for it's very high cringe factor. What most upset me was the fact that he seem to intimate that gamers could not differentiate between a review and a preview. And he certainly didn't complain when Eternal Darkness got raves at a previous E3..Just shut up and release a kick ass game. Everyone will forget the bad preview....

The thing is, I read the preview in EGM (this was the preview prior to E3) and I thought it was pretty positive.  I think what Dyack was crying about was the follow-up article (after the bad E3 showing/demo) that questioned "what happened" between the EGM preview build that they saw and what was shown at E3.  This is what set Dennis Cryack off - crying about how video games need to be more like movies - where the previews are based more off of "almost final" builds of the game and not off of builds that are 6-12 months prior to release.  Some of what he says is true, but he knows the business and for them to show what they did at E3 was wrong - on their part.  Bungie did it right by showing the E3 CG trailer.  Silicon Knights thought that they could just show off "where they were" with the game and that would pass.  Maybe in an exclusive sit-down preview (like the first one with EGM), but NOT at a venue like E3.

Why do you say this? The detail, at least of the characters, is still there. IMO the lighting in the first pic is all over the map and hard edged (pictoral lighting) wereas the second pic shows smooth (realistic) lighting across characters. We can't distinguish the backgroung, but I suspect that that's so environments aren't spoiled or maybe depth of field is acting here or maybe the area just isn't finished. Regardless, I can't wait to see more of this game. :)

Atleast we have games to play...instead of delays and ports:oops: 

even though all that looks well and good, im still holding zero expectations for it. I was at E3 last year and played that awful awful build. it was seriously bad enough to make me be skeptical until release. *shudder* jeez it was bad. i was so dissapointed. i do hope they get ride of that whole using the right thumbstick to attack cuz that was garbage.
