ive been watching this game since ps1
Too Human reminds me of Conan with more customization.Zeliard9the first paragraph in the preview say that it is an RPG, not an action game. it has full RPG customization and skill branching, and loot collection and leveling, with combat on top
7.0 should be a fun game, nothing about it seems particularly good. The graphics are alright, but its still seems way to buggy for game thats been in development for so long.Adrian_Cloud
Too Human will score an 8.5 or higher. You can quote me on that.

This game was supposed to be released on the N64..then the gamecube, but on 360 its almost in its 4th year. :|

Yes, I know that. And based on every video I've seen of it, it reminds me of Conan with more customization.

I doubt it, thats the score halo 3 should have got. 7.0 is being realistic, 8.5 is being just too generous.
I think the game will be good the question is whether it can be Epic.
right now to me it seems like its leaning towards the good more than Epic but when 4-8months(depeding on delays) left in development this could reach epic level.
The best part of the preview are the last two paragraphs
"Then there's the skill tree, blueprints, and runes; three aspects of the game we only got a small glimpse of. There are only five classes, plus perhaps more on the way as downloadable extras, but even two players with the same class can have radically different abilities. The skill tree unlocks at level five which came at the tail end of the area we were allowed to play in. It won't be possible to unlock every skill, we're told, requiring each player to choose which branches to invest in. You'll also have to choose whether to align yourself with humans or machines; one providing more attack moves while the other gives you access to extra weapons and weapon functions including a massive cannon. The runes, meanwhile, provide little side quests of sorts and reward you with small stat or skill bonuses upon completion. Each requires a small task to be complete in the game, such as to kill 25 enemies with explosives, but they must be equipped to activate the quest."
That sounds like it could make the game really deep and fun.

Nah. 8.5 or higher!
There is something oddly infatuating about Too Human, something that draws me into, I get excited every time I see gameplay, or hear news about it, I think of it as a gamers sixth sense, normally I get this feeling only when I see a game that ends up scoring high AA or AAA...I can't predict a score yet, all I know is that Too Human will be a great game.Vis-a-Vis
yeah i know i have a hard time seeing whether its going to be AA or AAA but its still going to be awesome i mean four player co-op with different classes just sounds like really fun.
I'm hoping for the best with Too Human, but preparing for the worst just in case, I can't help but be a little skeptical.Big_Boss465
agreed.

it was never ever supposed to be on the N64
it was almost complete for the PS1 and was a FIRST PERSON GAME or something, then nintendo bought silicon knights or contracted them or something and they didnt TOUCH the game till 05 when they announced it for the 360
nintendo didnt want them to do Too Human
the story has been in the works for 10 years though (since the PS1 version)

I have a 360, I'd like Too Human to be good. But I just don't see it. I'm in the skeptical boat as well.
1up's preview was pretty positive. They seemed to like the game a lot.Sir-Marwin105previews are always positive. if they told the honest truth, why would you read further articles on a game? More website traffic = more revenue = paid staff and fed families.

Although, to be fair, I've found that 1UP's previews in particular are generally solid. They're not afraid to diss a game or bring up its shortcomings even in a preview. As one example, they brought up concerns about Lair's control scheme way back in a preview from September 2006, a year before the game's eventual release. They also conveyed these concerns to Factor 5. Too bad the developers didn't take 1UP's advice.
I still don't like what I'm seeing from Too Human, though. It's supposed to be mostly an RPG, so would it kill them to show some of the customizations menus in some depth, and how they directly affect the gameplay? Right now, based on every trailer out, the terrible editing just makes it looks like a glorified hack-n-slash. I need to see a lot more. I will say I'm not too huge a fan of the art design in the game, but if the gameplay works, it's obviously acceptable.
