New Twisted Metal?? anyone else feel this way

I saw the trailer for the new twisted metal and i was stoked!!! one of my old time favorite games i played countless hours on years ago is now back. After wacthing the trailer ya the destruction looks great and all but...It dosent look to have the same feel as the old ones with all the old "char cars"

Its like all they had to do is put out a awsome Hd version with online and some new stuff and me and prob other people would be even more instantly sold. anyone else feel this way also?

It was one out of three games from the Sony conference I am interested in, the other two are Killzone 3 and LBP2.

As a big fan of TM 1, 2 and Black, I am extremely excited. TM1 was one of the first PSX games I played... I never turned back!

TW is a personal franchise for me because I use to play them all the time when I was younger with my brother. Its something I'll always remember from growing up.

EDIT: The beginning of the trailer got me wondering but once the guy said which combat racer was great on ps1, and ps2 ..... I was like "its Twisted Metal" ...... then I said "Jaffe, you sob".

I agree that it doesn't have the best graphics, but hopefully it will see a significant upgrade between now and the release date.

I can't wait. Playing Twisted Metal with my brothers are some of my fondest memories gaming. I could care less about the graphics personally as I thought they looked good, but I guess people need something to complain about. As long as the gameplay is as fun as it use to be, it will be incredible. I thought the new Nuke mode looked awesome. I want it now.

It should be a PSN game with those graphics. Too bad Jaffe is a playstation fanboy, I'd rather see this be multiplat so more people can play it. With those graphics it could even be ported to the Wii.

There weren't many to begin with.:P

The ones you were missing are the annoying/weird Move games ( -Sorcery & SOCOM 4) and inFamous.

The graphics might be a bit underwhelming, but the game looks seriously awesome IMO. This is how Twisted Metal should be. I didn't like Twisted Metal Black's extremely dark style, and the PS1 games have aged too badly to be any fun anymore, so this seems perfect. The style seems to be more in line with the classic TM games than Black.

I just realized how I miss a real TM game. TM1 and TM2 were badass back then. But after TM3 I just stoped caring. I tried Black, Head-On, but none of them impressed me so I just buried the series for myself. But after I saw this new trailer I just became excited for the TM game for the first time since TM2.:)

am really excited about TM... always enjoyed the games in the series and this one looks like it kept that TM feel to it which is a good thing... looking forward to see more about the game but have no doubts its mp will be awesome :)

Since it was mentioned in previous posts, visually it may not be on par with the likes of KZ3 but still it looks good and its probably 1 year away from release so visuals will probably be slightly better once released...

All I have to say is.... YESSSSSSSS!!! I`ve been waiting a long, long time for a new game in the series - I just may get a PS3 next year!
