I totally feel the same exact way. I honestly thought the demo they showed looked terrible. It honestly looks way too FPS, and the cars and characters seem like they lost a lot of their personality. What shame, one of my favorite series seems to be going down the generic road. Hopefully I am wrong about this.
Looked like way too much fun. The multiplayer looks like something that is way too addictive for its good. Sony doesn't have that addictive feel of a game like CoD or Halo which basically I think 'that is awesome' the first time I saw it (well uncharted 2 gave me that feelign). This game defintely did.
it better has split screen co op or real failerdemn
Jaffe confirmed 4 player splitscreen online at the beginning of the presentation of the gameplay. Do some research first.
Nah. This is nothing like twisted metal games. It is just the title. The games never played anything like this. Didn't have a first person view, didn't have the aim reticule. It looked more warhawk than twisted metal.i can imagine this game to be something big to some gamers, they were raised with the old TMs, but i wasn't, so that would be a cool addition to the PS3 library but it's not that special for me.

I was really hoping it would be a new IP but when I saw it was Twisted Metal I bummed hard. I've always hated the franchise. Great news for the people that like it though.
On G4 yesterday it was really surprising when Sony showed the game and people's sounds also apeared on TV as some people were like oh my god or o man no way!.. lots of people were surprised, i sure was too, Sony did an amazing job this year to keep their games secret

It looked more warhawk than twisted metal. Totally looked like Warhawk but then again its from Eat, Sleep, Play, who have many Incognito members over there. Also San Diego Studio (helped on Warhawk) is helping Eat, Sleep, Play. In fact, I read that Eat, Sleep, Play basically killed incognito as it took staff members while Warhawk was in progress so that at the end only 6 ppl were working on Warhawk. Basically, Incognito separated into two studios: Lightbox lead by Dylan Jobe, and Eat, Sleep, Play lead by Campbell and Jaffe. I would be surprised if the engine that is being used didn't have warhawk's in its DNA. Also, some portions of the game like the health semi remind me of Call All Cars made by Jaffe and Incognito.[QUOTE="2mrw"]

I'm excited about a new TM, but the online play was easily my least favorite part of TM Black. I'm really hoping that isnt' going to be their primary focus this time out. I would have greatly prefered it if they showed the different characters, maybe the levels, the cars? Pretty much anything relevant to single player modes which I think is why most people will be buying this game.
Warhawk was pretty addictive. Ppl still play Warhawk 3 years later. when it came out ppl called it Warcrack. Thus why you see so many ppl vocal about the possibility of Starhawk.Looked like way too much fun. The multiplayer looks like something that is way too addictive for its good.
