Apparently is a slim model,from there i think it will weight from 600 to 800 grams which is half or less of the xbox one weight.

Apparently is being produce since February this year,so probably unveil at E3.

A slimmer and more powerful XB1 is what Microsoft could use right now.

So...a slim model of a system people barely want as it is? I guess this will be good for taking up less space in back room warehouses.

MS has suggested they wouldn't be making any tier level xbox one systems unless they were lying trying to throw people off.

Give me a disc drive-less model (i'm all digital this gen) and make it as slim as possible and i'll buy one.

I don't see how they could compete if they don't. XB1 is already weaker than PS4, if PS4K is a notable bump then just making a "slim" XB1 wouldn't be all that meaningful. Well, not unless they drop price to make it notably cheaper than PS4 or PS4K (like $199 or something crazy).

I was actually excited for Nintendo and MS's big hardware announcements and Nintendo has officially declined to show up and....a "slim" xbox one isn't exactly the new hardware reveal I was expecting from MS.

Hopefully there's more to it than that because that would be woefully disappointing.

Well, if they make it slim, it better be just as whisper silent as the current one. I don't want to hear any fans blowing the roof off. But this will help the already awesome sales of the Xbox One.

I think i agree with most Xbox fans, Microsoft should just ride it out and release a console after PS4K and NX. Xbox One sales are doing great in America, they have a dedicated fan base who loves them, and i feel would just be a better investment for both parties in the long run.

A retool of the XB1 is pointless IMO, its lost this gen. Bring a new more powerful console to the table for the 2017 holidays, even if its more expensive, and for the love of f*** peripheral free, is the only way I see an MS console being relevant again vs NX and PS4plus console.

MS is keeping the next box news on lockdown. It will be more powerful than Sony, they learned the hard way.

I just don't want this to turn into an Arms Race where companies are pushing out new consoles every other year to up the other guy. That Is NOT good for gamers.

Power isn't the problem, it's the lack of exclusive games that's holding back Xbox One. Not to mention, barley any JRPG exclusive games for that matter, other then scalebound, MS needs more games then raw power.

Yeah probably just a Slim... but if it's pretty much the same console otherwise, I'll just stick with my current console (it's so quiet and reliable).

The Chinese characters for numbers are the same though so some people will think its Japanese because it has the character for two and generation next to the xbox one.

Not true. Only the hardcore fanboys complain about exclusives but the public doesn't care that much. Multiplats are what most people buy and most will either buy what their friends are on or they'll go for the one that performs the best and that's been the PS4. Hell the PS4 didn't have crap in the early going yet was selling like crazy. Even the Sony execs didn't understand why it was selling so well. Exclusives had nothing to do with it.

Last gen Nintendo was the market leader with Wii....last gen!

Pretty much nailed it. Its funny how Sony fanboys are all suddenly raving about exclusives since they are finally getting some, when for the first two years PS4 sold like crazy with only one AAA new exclusive, Bloodborne and thats a borderline niche game since lots of people dont like the Souls games.

Multiplats carry both systems and contrary to popular believe most people arent like the fanboys around here. Its actually shows that Sony's PR spin on 1080 worked since way more people are talking about resolution nowadays that didnt even know what 1080p meant last gen.

Also, the conjecture from SW cows is a bit ridiculous. Most of Xbox exclusives so far have been good games, they might not be games that you like which is personal preference. Just because you dont like them doesnt mean every game is bad, but according to cows here every game on Xbox One is a terrible flop, justified by the 'rules' of this crapfest of a forum. Nevermind the millions of people that play and enjoy these games...Sony's sold twice as many consoles so every Xbox game sucks.

Thats the fanboy tell, they are so insecure they wont even admit an Xbox game is good even with a huge lead, since they have to tow the party line and hating everything Xbox no matter what is part of it. All the hardcore cows here spew nothing but Xbox hate day in and day out. Look at the topics in this forums everyday. A good portion are basically Xbox hate letters for no reason but to hate. You almost never see cows here actually talking up the virtues of PS4 or its games, its just a constant stream of hate for Xbox no matter what.

Agreed. I wont be buying a PS4k or a slim X1 or slight upgrade. This gen is 2 1/2 years old. I spent about a grand on consoles from two companies already. I'm not giving them more yet.

While there's nothing wrong with referencing a source, there's nothing to steal since NEO GAF doesn't own the screenshot.

For example, if a user screenshots my XYZ software, the user doesn't own those XYZ screenshots.

Why else would you buy and Xbox or PS4 then - if not for exclusive games? If it wouldn't be for exclusives, a lot of less people would buy consoles. Without them, there'd be no reason to bother with ether consoles. Otherwise you're paying absurd prices for underpowered x86 components. Having said that, Xbox One is just another windows 10 for consoles only. PS4 however has lots of exclusive games, not talking about multiplats, just exclusive. TBH, this gen really isn't nothing to brag about, it's not the best nor worst, just average and PC gaming has gotten more popular is ever before.

Now point is, you are the only one and always assuming whoever talks somewhat bad things about Xbox One are now cows.
