Perhaps you'd like to review it right now based on a bunch of out-of-context scenes.

if you dont like the train then im sure you can walk the entire way just like past zelda's. (not windwaker and phg)
[QUOTE="carter15kd5"]
also this game is probaly takes place a few years after phg since tetra is dressed as zelda

We don't have any story details at all, so wait before speculating.
im not speculating im using my head to compare the 2 zelda games, yes we dont know the story but you can guess from the past cel shaded zelda'sI'm not really liking the whole train thing. For some reason i feel like it doesn't fit into the Zelda Universe...like i don't know how to put it into words...it's just weird. A train? c'mon.AAllxxjjnnSo, you'd rather it be like every other Zelda game instead? I applaud Nintendo for attempting to make this game feel unique. I don't want them to just redoOcarina/Twilight Princess/Link to the Past with touch controls.
According to the alleged interview, it's set directly before Wind Waker. Since there hasn't been any sign of an ocean, I'm inclined to think it's true.also this game is probaly takes place a few years after phg since tetra is dressed as zelda

It's nice that they're doing something new, but they risk alienating the audience if they don't make the train and the muskets fit into the setting.

Interesting, hopefully this game would be more story-driven into the Zelda Timeline then PH. Ooooh. Fool of me :? lol Dead Space on rails, Link on train :PNow I don't have to struggle drawing a straight line to reduce my traveling time. :P Also, now that it's back on land, the world will be more than ocean as far as the eyes can see with a few islands in between and exploration, simply looking around in the world as you travel will be fun again.
Why don't You people like Phantom Hourglass? It is around 4th place on my favorite Zelda list. I loved it, much more than the Minish Cap.

They've been making it for at least a year. They're just laying low and cooking it for a long time before they show anything, AKA being Nintendo.W00T! Steam punk Zelda! Sign me up!
I'm still wondering if they're even making a Wii Zelda.

Sounds great :D
You've got steampunk in mah Zelda! This is a direction I support 100%. The only mechanics I want are a harder diffuculty option and NO TEMPLE YOU HAVE TO TRAVERSE REPEATEDLY FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS. Actually third mechanic: give me tons of parts to customise my train as well as paint options. Please.
And I'm with you on this Willy. Two of my loves from my childhood = too awesome.
I'm guessing this game is that Project Divulge eventhough people thought it was fake but Aonuma supposedly said in that interview that Link will not be Link but a guy that thinks he's Link. Aonuma also said that The guy that thinks he's Link will ride on a Train they also said that This is the game with the Flood that floods the world leading up to Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. (If this is actually The game that Aonuma was talking about when hetalked aboutProject Divulge.)

Finally, a comment w/ some insight. thanks
Ah come on the temple was incredibly short at the start and later on You get shortcuts, find some hidden things and get new bits. It's like people only think of that temple when they hear PH >.> It took me less time repeating actions than when i have to drive to a specific dealer in chinatown wars. I loved how You needed to make notes, had more puzzles that required a little bit of searching and thinking, more interesting characters and the traveling worked better (though felt slightly less mighty) than in windwaker. You've got steampunk in mah Zelda! Awesome. I was starting to wonder when they would make the next Zelda.
If this is as good as PH then I'm in :D

I'm not railing against the touch screen mechanics such as making notes; nor the way the development team put a fresher spin on tired Zelda puzzles. I just think that having a player returning to the same location repeatedly after completely a dungeon was a horrid way of managing flow and progress. If you enjoyed it more power to you but I hated the mechanic with a fiery passion.

Another thing it needed: some way to remind yourself of what your objective is. In other Zeldas, you can talk to your fairy or the boat, but not in PH. It's really annoying trying to figure out exactly what you're supposed to be doing.I hope that the train would contribute to the enjoyability of the gameplay, instead of merely being a window dressing for a ship.
Yeah, It's not like it's a talking train that follows you around in dungeons, telling bad jokes and constantly rambling on about it's earlier years. If that was the case, then you'd have every right to complain. The train's just a means of transportation and makes as much sense as a steam boat and the tingle tuner. Impressive graphics, solid controls, and a satisfying storyline(it's zelda, how can they mess this up?) make this game something to look forward to.The train is just your mode of transportation, it's no big deal. I'm looking forward to the new dungeons. =D

Phantom Hourglass was an excellent game. Sounds like those that hated the OKT expected a casual-friendly hand holding experience. It was brilliantly designed imo, with the shortcuts made for easier access when you got better weapons and tools. I normally hate stealth game but loved that aspect of PH.

no no no NO. didn't you see the train controls on the side of the screen? in igns analysis it points out there is a forward, stop, backwards, change track button, of course its kinda on rails because its LITERALLY ON TRAIN TRACK RAILS
if thats what u meant
btw guys interview said its before wind waker,
that thought to be fake wii zelda valley of the flood interview that came out last summer said a new zelda would take place before wind waker, where a kid who thinks he's the hero of time bbut isn't tries to defeat a mad ganon and he can't, so the gods flood hyrule thus giving birth to hyrule
doesn't sound similar at all right? the interview said that the next zelda would have a steam punk style, and specifically link would use a train
ahh, suddenly some pieces have fallen together
but it could be a coincidence

He already said he was joking.Well there is two Zelda teams...One that just does Zelda DS games and one that does just Zelda console games. So I guess it's too be expect. But with a Zelda coming out this year, I don't think there will be a Zelda Wii game coming out also. I am betting next year on a Zelda Wii game.Wii Zelda denied. :P
Oh well, some more lovin for my DS makes me a happy Lionheart.
Lionheart08
I'm all for the train thing and am very excited for this. And PH was amazing, Nintendo chose the right game to make a sequel to.

any woo, its ironic some people do think spirit tracks is on rails as in HOTD style, but say they loved PH
because the sailing in PH was on rails, and hardly anyone noticed it coz u could draw your way anytime, just like i imagine ST will be, though spirit tracks is thankfully a tentative title, hopefully maybe the tracks lead to haunted dungeons? each track with a different story? i dunno that'd be cool
