NEWSFLASH: Wii lacks graphical power compared to 360/PS3!

Well it must be news to some people because we keep seeing the same threads over and over. Either they can't wrap their heads around it or it upsets them that most people don't care and play videogames for fun.

Typical threads like these have a screen shot from a 360/PS3 gameand one from the Wii. Then they add a :lol: and try to make them selves feel better because surely they must be telling people things they don't know.

Someday maybe they will end....

In a purely technical sense, games like SC:Chaos Theory and The Chronicles Of Riddick have better graphics than any Wii game yet.

You post a 1024x819 picture and you say it's in-game on the 480p-only Xbox? Are you joking? I know there are some Xbox games that can reach 720p/1080i, but the Splinter Cell games are definitely NOT among them.

Wii is the current gen. Xbox is not.

Third party games are not gonna look that good because frankly third party publishers dont care about wii.

It is just 25$ less than 360 core, for what each offers, 360 is like trillion of miles more afforadable

Wii is garabage, i do not see how going back 10 years in graphics ... is innovative really, and the controls are crap IMO, i owuld rather have old gen controls in Zelda targeting by miles

The sales are a real mystery, but then again Bush won the elections right ? And US makes wars all around the world for oil, this is not a making sense world anyway

1. Don't blame us for having such poor judgment that you just happen to pick up crap games. I have maybe two games that I wish I didn't buy.

2. Affordability is purely a price argument. The Xbox 360 may have more value, but it's not more affordable. Besides, why would I want a 360 when I have other devices that do the same thing?

3. I for one do not judge my entertainment based on the available technology. Otherwise, I would never be able to enjoy the Godfather.

4. The sales aren't a mystery. People want something different. 360 and PS3 games are action movie wannabes.

Yeah I love playing Super Mario Galaxy on my GBA. The graphics are superior.

SMG uses programmable shaders, runs at 60 FPS, and so on. SMG ooks much better even froma technical point of view.

You could probabaly make SC: CT on the PC look better than SC: DA on the 360.

People seriously underrate art style in a game. Super Mario Galaxy looks better than most 360 games because it has such an imaginative, beautiful art style. Most 360 games, while higher in resolution and with more polygons and better textures and whatnot, lack that sort of visual creativity. Hence, while they may be closer to photorealism, they aren't all that interesting to look at. All other things being equal, a more powerful machine will give you better-looking games, but it's the art style in games like Super Mario Galaxy and Zack & Wiki and Metroid Prime 3 that make those games some of the best-looking on any of the three systems.Dr_Corndog

To be fair I do think manyy more games should be looking as good and better than SMG in the future then there will be no problems. Peopl dont realise SMG is a technical and artisitc wonder.
