The recent article posted by Gamespot mentioning a speculation that the next generation consoles would be around be avaliable at least 2012. Some how I will doubt this theory is true, instead we will hear something from Microsoft around 2010 about their next generation console. The reason is to keep developers happy by giving them more flexability with more advanced hardware.
Still, lets assume neither Microsoft nor Sony were to put a next gen console by 2012. Around late 2010 console hardware will have an increased limitation by offering a weak CPU and small amount of system memory and video memory. While PC gaming hardware will ever increased advancement by offering much larger performing hardware. Does this give an advantage to the PC by causing publishers to make PC exclusive to take advantage of the latest hardware?
