Not really, especially since some of those touted tech demos are just faces and facial animation.  Things crytek has been pretty good at since crysis 1

Even if that were true, there is a very good chance they went with the standards of a current gen console in mind, even on the PC version.

That may not have been its potential at all for the most part.

Crytek is a joke. No one will pay any attention to them once they move to only free-to-play games. 

Crysis 3 has some nice textures and lighting, but the overall art style is bland. Also, animations are nothing to write home about. 

Crytek needs to learn how to make a great gameplay experience first before worrying about the visuals.

Then show me someone who made a game that visually beats Crysis 3!

DICE is coming very close with BF4, but personally, I think Crysis 3 looks better, also, it's possible those BF4 demo visuals will be slightly scaled down before the release, like they did with BF3.

When you have to compare games running on next-gen hardware to what Crytek managed to do on current gen hardware to make a point, you prove that Crytek is that damn good when it comes to engine tech.

Source? Proof? They do seem rather skilled at graphics since they created the original crysis in 2007 and it had the best graphics until it's sequel (barely) beat it in 2011, and then was topped with the best graphics by crysis 3

This just in: PS4/720 Graphics > PS3/360 Graphics

As much as Crysis 3 sucks we can't discredit Crytek. They did an awesome job with Cryis 3's visuals. With that said, BF4 is going to destroy Crysis 3 in everything else. :cry: I'm so hyped for BF4.

Nothing I have seen from ANY next gen game blows away Crysis 3, or even beats it. Crysis 3 is a great shooter in any case.

I don't believe crytek have shown a next gen game yet.

You're being pretty ignorant. Crysis 3 is a good game. It is also a game that was made simulataneously for PC and current gen consoles. You'll see how much better their next gen games look. Crytek is ahead of everybody by years and you say they aren't special? Absurd.
