You can barely spot any difference in graphics in that youtube video so the best information we got out of this video is that judging graphics by youtube footage is a bad idea.
Except the PS4 footage that looks noticably sharper and more detailed than the rest.

>Claims that people shouldn't judge youtube footage
>Claims PS4 footage looks the best.
Sure is cow in here. Also, he tells you multiple times they have included downloads to all the footage so you can watch it at its recorded bit-rate of 30mbps.
My CPU, not my GPU. This MSI board is proving to be a headache.
I see. I usually never attempt CPU overclocks

My board doesn't want to download at idle when its OC'd for some reason.
Did you accidentally disable the power saving functions?

Nope. I made sure all C states were enabled, plus all the energy saving crap was on too.
Its pretty amazing how the 360 can look so close to the high end pc version. The main difference is AA, screen tearing, and the fps. Other than that, theres not too much of a difference. Its not really a good comparison of what the new consoles are capable of.
Its to be expected that launch games look like the previous generation.

Perhaps change your power options in Windows. If it's on high performance, try changing it to balanced and see if that fixes it.

It was on high performance but even after I set it to balanced nothing happened. I'm going to wait now and have another crack at it at the weekend. My boss is lending me his dremel on Tuesday where I'm going to cut the mesh grids out of the front and top of the case.

Wut?
The main difference is in resolution (which is not obvious from those two pics) and particle effects (which would be very noticable in motion). Those two pictures look very similar except more foliage and birds or whatever in the PC version, but once you actually see it running on screen, the difference is much bigger.

Pretty dramatic difference visible on the rock formation, the left foreground section.

Not to mention the level of detail in the frame, the dust effects etc.

You are right. Texture quality is where the RAM deficiency of PS360 is very obvious.
TBH, I can't see the difference between entry-level PC and next-gen consoles.
Thats the point he was making. However, he also said that 3-4 years down the line, that entry level PC is going to really struggle.
There is no point in buying an entry level PC now as they will play games at PS4 quality. One should always go for 1100$ beast at the start of the gen and then probably in 3-4 years upgrade the gpu for 400+$. So in the end, the PC will cost you some 1500$ for the entire gen, but one will have a top notch gaming experience for 6-8 years.
Unlike Xbox 360 vs X1800/X1900 generation, the PC has R9-290/R9-290X has hardware feature parity with PS4's GCN e.g. including the 8 ACE units.
R9-290's cost is around $399.
Volcanic Islands based GCNs are slightly newer than X1's Sea Islands based GCN.

Yeah.
My Mrs' machine has a Radeon 7850 in it, and she's got a 360 too so I got to see plenty of PC vs Xbox 360 Battlefield 4 Beta. The difference is of course, staggering.
The 360 does OK for itself given it's age and what not, but next to a 7850 ... it looks slobby as ****.

Get new eyeballs, yours don't work
@Rage010101: a high end pc might be the best, but it wont have better graphics a ps4
lol fail fakeboy confirmed. you're a clown if you really believe that
God damn i wish BF4 was running in 1080p on ps4 :( i will never get over this.
Off-topic: But could I just ask what game that is in your sig? Please don't tell me that's a sneak peak of the new God of War on PS4 because that looks phenomenal.
Thats the new trailer for the Witcher 3.
wait a minute we have sigs? I thought new gamespot got rid of it
They never got rid of them, they just put a size limit on them.

Have you even played the game on 360 or you're just talking cuz you saw some blurry compressed vids on youtube and think that's how the pc version looks? BF4 on 360 looks significantly uglier than freaking BC2, a 3y old title. It looked so bad that im pretty sure its the ugliest title i played in the last couple of years and that's not even an exaggeration.
@ronvalencia: im pretty sure the r9 290x/290 is much more powerful then ps4 gpu
Hardware features are not the same as hardware performance e.g. in terms of hardware performance Radeon X1950 XTX > Xbox 360's GPU, but Xbox 360's GPU hardware features > Radeon X1950 XTX.
Over time, Radeon X1950 XTX's lack of DX10 class features ended it's usefulness.
