MGS4 looks as ordinary as the next game today

It is the vast detailed next gen lit and shaded worlds of Alan Wake, Fable 2, Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2 that will start the REAL nex gen, definatly nothing comes close to them, and Crysis of course is the king

Fable 2 especially has a fully dynamic world with fully dynamic NPC schedules, reactions and simulation, in some VAST full of life towns, things not even Crysis, Alan Wake or Far Cry 2 could ever dream of having

As for MGS4, this does not even look more impressive than COD4 TBH, small, static and ordinary

MGS4 certainly isnt gonna be the best looking, most interactive, or most inovative game at the time of release...though it will certainly be good.

You probably laughing right now... saying next gen already started... well yes we do have great game came out like COD4, Uncharted, Gears, BioShock, and for the wii fans SMG and SSBB, and even GTAIV is coming out that game will not define next gen but hell it will sell like crazy. But truly next gen will start with MGSIV... if you don't believe me check out this thread and this interview ... Kojima is putting all his life work.. all of his skills and experience of developing games into this one game call MGSIV...

Since next gen will start with MGSIV... all next gen games will come out after MGSIV like Resistance2, KillZoneII, Gears2, FFXIII, RE5, and many more to come...announced and unannounced games... these games will truly define what next gen experience is like....

I appreciate the mention aka_aj03, but I never intended my thread to be an antagonistic post, and I would never make the claim that "next gen starts with MGS4," because I think it's already underway.

It is rather simple, there has never been or even will be a as stunning game in looks and gameplay as Fable 2, it is only normal to be exited about a game that does things i have waited decades to see, and no other game touches even by trillions of miles

Until Fable 3 arrives that is ...

In short, all other games are totally meaningless comparing to Fable 2 to me, that is why i always bring it up

Haven't people realized by now that Peter Monyleux is some idiot that won't shut the hell up and quietly develop his games, and instead says how his new project is the second coming of Christ? Fable 2 looks pretty good, but it's not fantastic.

It is not the usual, shoot the bad guys in the narrow last gen sreets either though, it has vast REAL 3D cities, with hundreds of AI lively NPC's and stunning next gen visuals

In short looks generations ahead of MGS4 in every way IMO, and of course plays that way too

MGS4 is just YET ANOTHER game that you shoot bad guys in the streets, how very original,there are only ... INFINITE games that have done that, and looked VASTLY better too

BTW, if Fable 2 is NOT fatastic, then tell me, which game is ? I mean it has some the the most beautifull forests, towns and graphics this gen, some of the most HUGE AI and towns, some of the most diverse and never ending gameplay

So, name me a game that touches Fable 2 even one bit

See you are wrong, Crysis is nice technically, but its art is pure mediocrity to me, Fable 2 has almost as good technical aspects, BUT the art i like most, so it goes miles ahead, i can't possibly be dissapointed there

Having played Fable 1, i KNOW for a fact that i will not be dissapointed about the stunnign battle system, or the NPC AI and lively world, especially now that it is 10x bigger !!!

As for economy between real people, i think simulating an economy is much harder and more interesting, frankly i never play MMO's, i think they are a waste of time, so now you know what i think of WOW and games like it, and why STILL Fable 2 is my most anticipated game ever, because there is NOTHING like it

art style preference is a very personal thing that has no fact bearing

im pretty sure the game's physics engine couldnt even hold a twig next to crysis's...let alone the graphical fidelity...this would explain why the idea of crysis running on a 360 is an utterly impossible idea without being drained of its technical prowess
