• "Always on, always connected" -more info on this here ( I thought it was some kind of DRM but apparently it isn't. The console will stay on stand-by to download updates and stuff while using minimal power.)
• Kinect will come with every console and it must be plugged in
• All games will have to be installed to HDD, no streaming from optical disk (but you can start playing during the installation)
• It has a blu-ray drive, but it won't be used when playing games (and to be clear, games will be on blu-ray)

i hope that isnt true, i may skip the xbox for the first time if that was true. too greedy. its hard to believe so im waiting for e3

i do believe they will force bundle kinect tho.

lems greatest nightmare, being forced to install games and be always online to play them. If Kinect breaks the console will be rendered useless....    :)

What is Microsoft trying to accomplish with this type of model, it doesnt make sense at all. Internet connection isnt a staple alover the world and while the casual audience have proved to be a large market, the hardcore audience are still the ones holding this industry together, its the hardcore audience that pulls the casual audiences into gaming. I just hope the team behind the NextBox have a single clue what the Ferk they are doing and retrack and change all these BS. Perhaps it was a good thing the PS4 was shown early

You have to install the game onto the hard drive BUT you can start playing the game while it is installing. Microsoft tried this on PC, so I can see them doing it on their Xbox console.ShadowDeathX

It has already pretty much been confirmed through a lot of different leaks..

I hope that rumors is all they are... I am overall a Playstation fan, but I do like Xbox as well.

Signs are still pointing to me not buying an Xbox for the first time however... We will have to wait to find out what the truth behiond these leasks actually are though.

i think that was going to happen regardless.

kinect 2 isn't free though, either we pay for it or we get weaker machine to keep costs down.

"Always on, Always connected" doesn't mean being online is a 100% requirement. It may be like Sony's system where you can choose to leave your console online all of the time and have updates and stuff pushed to it.

The requirement of kinect scares me. I wonder if they'll make that the primary way to interact with their OS. That would be crap.
