[QUOTE="chikenfriedrice"]I have been playing NG:Blk on my 360 and it's pretty difficult then I just started playing Sigma on my PS3 and it seemed so much easier in every way? I left them both on the default difficulty....so was Sigma made easier?killab2oo5

Yes, and the trend continues with NG2. It make sense since it is "lowering" the bar for casuals. With that being said, the hardest difficulty will be only for hardcores. So it is a win win scenario.

From the reviews it looks to me that NG2 is harder. They all really complain the difficulty even though NG is known to be difficult. Just because it has the regenerating health doesn't mean the games gonna be easier. The enemies now are much smarter and way more acrobatic, and those who watch the gameplay vids notice how there are many more enemies on screen at one time compared to NGB.

It's seems overwhelming at times... :?

dumb down? lol maybe at the first level but after that it gets really frustrating especially with the spider ninjas.

And actually the original was the harder version.

OhSnapitz

really...cuz compared to black it's been a breeze so far

Same..lol

But that's because you guys already played black... I assume that most of you are pretty good gamers to begin with.. And after getting the hang of black, Sigma couldn't really present that much of a challenge. The original kicked my ______ but after clearing it, the rest wasn't that bad.. My friends can't even get pass the first level..

no no Im comparing Normal mode vs Normal mode here. Sigma is easier. you can use healing items during the "boss grab" animations:?

Well compared to the original NG and NGS. NGS is harder. Me and my friend are playing at the same time and there are enimies that NGS has that the original NG doesn't have. We are both playing on the normal dif.

Little bit. But sigma wasn't made for people who had already played NG. It was for new players. Hence why it was on PS3. Kratos_OMEGA

True True.Sigma is still alot of fun though. But its really just NG black all over again with nothing really that new.

I watched a vid recently where a guy got into combat and got knocked around a bit (he wasn't very good). At the end of the battle, he had less than 25% health, and it auto-regen'd all the way up to 80%. Any veteran of NG knows how much easier something like that makes the entire game.

Hopefully on higher difficulties, the regen is lessened a bit because that's a little too much.

really? I thought some of the reviewers were docking points cuz NG2 was too hard?

Camera angle issues, graphics werent a significant leap from sigma plus itagaki overhyped his game to the media saying nothing will be able to touch his game. In the end the reviewers found out it wasnt as all hyped out to be as itagaki said it would be. Yes the gameplay speaks for itself, but every other aspect of the game is nothing special as alot of these reviews seem to put it.

Unbalanced difficulty For Bosses. Basically some of the bosses are stupidly cheap. I have yet to fight any boss though...The demo didn't have any. And Camera issues. If this wasn't NG2 it would get AAA reviews, but with the hype and expectations, some reviews have been giving it lower scores due to these faults. as a standlone action game, it's still one fo the best of this gen.

thats not really saying much.

What else is similar to Ninja gaiden this gen...DMC4? Decent but not as good as DMC3

yeah...it's been a slow gen for action games
