On mobile so I can't really present this like I want to, but it looks amazing.

It's sad that they are limiting the buying potential of this game to only one platform.

I'd gladly buy it if it were on PC. The first game was a huge game for me last gen and I'd gladly welcome a sequel. Exclusive games do nothing but hurt gamers these days.

Hoping for a pc release NieR Automata and with Square Enix releasing all the Finale Fantasy maybe they'll also release NieR on Steam.

Not seeing the amazingness here. I'm not writing it off by any means, but 3 minutes of running around with a sword floating 3 ft away from the back and a couple of R2D2 enemies isn't blowing me away. But then again I did play the first and wasn't in love with it.

The team behind this is quite something, and I love Drakengard and Nier, so yeah, excited.

here's an additional video, shows an additional enemy variety, kind of hard still to gauge what to expect as they're kind of just playing with level editing tools like placing bad guys in the map and toying with it...

...there's another video following this but I didn't really find it revealing anything different than the others.

I think one already did when gameplay of Scalebound was shown at Gamescom but this looks better? What is so great? Look at the boxes they fight in this 3 minutes.

This game doesn't look special and what was shown of Scalebound doesn't either, that though at least had some interesting stuff going on in its presentation with the large scale fights with giant monsters and dragons and vibrant color palette.

What's exactly is going on here that looks so amazing? Fighting a few robots in a completely bland and washed out environment? What gives? These nuts praise the most mundane and small amount of nothingness, it's unbelievable.

I have big concerns over framerate, though.

@cainetao11: NieR Automata does look better than Scalebound. Scalebound looks like a low budget FFXV.

NieR Automata will probably have better gameplay and most definitely a better story than Scalebound. Platinum is only doing the gameplay for NieR Automata while the writer of the original game is handling the script and other non-Platinum employees are handling the design(Bravely Default character art lead).

So we get a game with Platinum's excellent combat, but avoid their weaker storytelling and art. This is a really impressive collection of talent for the sequel to such an obscure/polarizing game like NieR.

I can see Lems already getting butthurt though. Can't imagine what it must be like to have almost no exclusives to look forward to when PS4 is flush with them.

Looks absolutely stupendous. Gorgeous visuals and the gameplay is like MG Rising with some other H&amp;S games in.

This is day one. I am a huge fan of Taro and Platinum games. Finally a platinum game actually looks pleasing to the eyes art wise.

Nier was a bad game with a terrible RPG story.

I didn't hate what I played of Nier but I definitely didn't see this diamond in the rough that some claim to. Game was mediocre imo. As I said earlier, I am not writing the game off and seeing that gif you posted I thought 'nice, I hope this fleshes out well' because I do own a PS4 and will buy it if it does. Just not seeing something amazing yet and I take it from where its coming you know?

Platinum gameplay with the art of Akihiko Yoshida and the story, world building, and creativity of Taro Yoko. This has game of the generation potential. Microsoft got the short end of the stick with Scalebound, Sony didn't even have to fund this.

@casharmy: That's not true of me at all. I am a huge MGS fan, loved vanquish, MGR, was raised on Sega games and consoles, Nioh is one of my most looked forward to PS4 titles. JRPGs of the traditional, turn based or Anime big eyed, teenagers saving the world again are not my thing. I am not against Japan or Japanese. @cainetao11: The only game I have actively rooted for to fail is Rise Of the Tomb Raider and that was a special case. I don't generally root for Xbox exclusives to fail, but I will laugh when they do. That is is because Xbox fanboys are the worst around. I get so sick of them claiming Xbox exclusives are so great and PS4 exclusives suck that yes I am going to throw it in their faces when it proves false(it has always been false). I did not always dislike Xbox so thank their community for turning me completely off from the brand.

As far as NieR Automata is concerned I couldn't care less who is excited or not. I made a topic about a game I am excited to inform other people that are anticipating this game about the new information. The people bringing Scalebound up and hypotheticals about I how would feel if NieR Automata was not a PS4 exclusive were the ones playing the victims.

If my disdain for Xbox is on people's minds so much that it comes up in completely unrelated topics that is their problem, not mine. I was not always biased. I didn't even start console gaming again until around 5 years ago. Was fairly clueless about last gen and bought a PS3 around 2011 because I liked the looked of it's catalog of exclusives better than Xbox(my last console before that was the OG Xbox). All the negativity online made biased, especially finding forums like this where it is celebrated. Now that the tables have turned this generation Xbox fanboys are acting like little britches and trying to make Sony fans feel bad about doing the same shit they did last generation.
