I think ninja gaiden takes way more strategy and is more rewarding. However the style, music, and story in god of war easily beats ninja gaiden's so I tend to like God of war more

Well they're both equally the same imo. God of War is just a fun hack and slash game that basically anybody can pick up and play, while Ninja Gaiden is a more sophisticated game that requires a lot of skill and practice to master.
k well i havent played ng. well i do have the original nes game on Wii. anywaygod of wars easy to get into but combat is still enjoyable although minimal skill is required. but it also has awesome graphics, music, story and other gameplay elements platforming and puzzle solivng. i have played DMC3 and i admit its tons harder and requires alot more skill. it is quite a bit more rewarding. one thing i noticed in dmc for ur standard enemies if they're about to hit u and u hit them their attacks are canceled not the case in GOW and this bothered me because it made titan frustrating and unfair while in dmc get hit its ur fault.

i did notice that on the demo, its really hard to fight in a small room when you cant see s**t
they fixed it in black from what i remember. you could control it as well

That's what i love about DMC, you can go the entire game without getting hit. so anytime you lose health, its completely your fault
Agreed 100%. I wish I'd played God of War before I'd played Ninja Gaiden, when I finally got around to GoW the combat just seemed lame. Awesome production though, no doubt.Teufelhuhn
Well you said God of War is great at everything except Ninja Gaiden is better with the action bit. True, but God of War is more appealing because of the story, setting, etc. Ninja Gaiden still great though.

NG undoubtedly. Why do people say NG is so difficult? I believe it is should be the standard for all these types of games difficulty-wise in normal mode. The gameplay was more fulfilling because it was a bit more of a challenge and this turned into an addiction with me realizing how rewarding the gameplay actually was. God of War, while awesome in story and pacing, lacked this difficulty which did not keep me as engaged as NG did.
