the game "Ninja Gaiden Sigma" is technically exclusive. But if you actually want to think about it and compare the ps3 version and xbox version, its nothing but an enhanced port, which is explained by the mod. The people at IGN know this as well but this wasn't their point when they were talking about the game.

I don't get it... you trying to imply that people wouldn't of waited for a next gen version of the game when black came out.. you know if sigma was on the xbox 360 and was exclusive there wouldn't be any of these threads, except a huge ammount of "another AAA for the 360" threads would pop up..

after going through this thread, imho GT2 is exclusive for the 360 and sigma is exclusive for the ps3, you can only play those games on one current gen system so they are exclusive. Just my opinion.Eddie-Vedder

I don't know about PC-Halo2, but PS2-RE4 and 360-GH2 both had exclusive content. 360 GH2 alsohad a graphics overhaul as well. There are other such games with similar enhancements that aren't/weren't exclusive such as Twin Snakes and REmake.

The fact is these types of re-releases have never been considered new, exclusive games. Why would we start now?

The game is not exclusive; it's still basically the same game as the ones on the Xbox with some new content.

You can't play RE4 with Wii controls on any other system either.

A port is a port. And if Super Paper Mario can be considered a port, then this is sure as hell a port.

It's so funny that an earlier thread claimed sheep were saying RE4 was exclusive, which I haven't seen, and now we have this. Zelda and SMP are constantly called ports because they were originally announced for another system.

NGS is a remake of an existing game. It has exclusive content, but so do a lot of games now. Doesn't make them exclusive. Being on a next-gen system does not make it exclusive either, otherwise 360 has a ton of "exclusives" from the first year when most multiplats were 360 and PS2.

If you go by exact same game, then there are lots of exclusives out there you're not counting, like Guitar Hero II (tracks you can't get anywhere else), Burnout: Revenge (more levels on 360), GRAW (fundamentally different gameplay), Virtua Tennis 3 (online play!), etc etc etc.

Not matter what is said. When professional writers call it an exclusive it's an exclusive. Why would this be argue? No hate for the PS3 will erase the fact that it's an exclusive.

Like I said, Casey is only a mod, not an editor. And the editors called NGS a PS3 exclusive, while Guitar Hero 2 and RE4Wii were called ports. The editors have the final say at GS, not the mods.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes was a GC exclusive, despite having a lot carried over from the original MGS. I remember when I was a sheep I had to deal with the exact same crap from Lemmings and Cows that Cows are getting this week over NGS. And you know what? No-one cared after the review came, because it wasn't even close to AAA anyway. It was still a darned good game and still a gamecube exclusive, but you wouldn't hear about that from anyone who hadn't actually bothered to play it.

In the case of NGS, it's probably going to be AAA, and it's probably going to sell a lot. I imagine we're going to be hearing this dumb debate for a long time to come, and it's a pretty sad day in SW when people think that mods have a greater say than the editors themselves. The game is a PS3 exclusive remake until the editors classify it as a port.
