Ninja Theory Awards for Hellblade Increase in Number at Develop Awards

Ninja Theory has yet another cause to celebrate after winning four trophies at the Develop Awards 2018. The studio’s latest triumph comes on the heels of two other successes over the past month. During E3, Microsoft announced it had acquired the Hellblade developer. Not too long thereafter, Ninja Theory boasted of Hellblade’s having sold one million copy's across PC, PS4, and Xbox One in less than a year

Entered this thread expecting to see a bunch of Cows pretend they now hate Ninja Theory, though they would have been praising, and somehow weaponizing them against Lems only 6 weeks ago.

? @ desperate lems in here trying to boast with a multiplat though. Horizon cleaned up most of the technical awards last year and won the prestigious DICE Award for Technical Achievement so remember that before you get too carried away with gloating over a multiplat.

Let's see what Ninja Theory is going to do to next in the gaming industry. I want to see if Microsoft will be able to make better sales and whatnot from these recent acquisitions.

Hell Blade easily holds it own against Horizon, it may not have Horizons massive scope but assets, shaders and lighting are very very good in Hell Blade and on par with the best games out there.

Congrats to Ninja Theory. After the DmC debacle, Hellblade is the return to form they needed.

@needhealing: I dont think any of its rewards had to do with technical proficiency except the one it won in 2016 which HZD wouldn't have been nominated untill 2017.

Just picked it up on sale, might be playing that next. But with my luck it'll be on GamePass next month.

Sony fannies are crying foul now that Ninja Theory not only ported Hellbade to the Xbox but is first party dev for MS. The butthurt is tremendous.

There are no tears, the game is a good game and you need to stop gloating about a multiplat that you confess to never even playing. The game is already on PS4 and PC but HZD, GOW, etc. aren't on your Flopbone. HZD already got more awards than it with GOW looking like a lock for GOTY 2018. If the Xbone wasn't a gameless piece of shit without exclusives you wouldn't need to be gloating over a game that's was on every system for a year before your Flopbone .
