Great! I thought GBA games weren't going to be downloadable, just GB/C? Well on the article it said they would be exclusive for the ambassadors of the system and they have no plans (yet I'm guessing) to release them.
"These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 GBA games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future."
The high price just did not make sense. It should have been less then 200 out of the door in the first place.

the high price was from the wonderful reception it got post E3 they were going to go less from the start but it was praised highly when they showcased it

AAAAARGH, F***, NO! I BOUGHT MINE FOR $249, AND ALL I GET IS TEN BLOODY GBA GAMES AND TEN NES GAMES! Okay, GBA games sounds good.... NES games, not so much. Yet another reason why you NEVER buy hardware, especially Nintendo hardware, early.

Oh that nice through would be better if it was SNES/GB games instead of NES, but I can go with the GBA games (hopefully they are good choices).

Oh that nice. Don't really care for NES games, but I can go with the GBA games (hopefully there are good choices).
Some of the GBA games I can remember from my heard are, Metroid fusion, Mario Kart GBA, Warioware, Yoshi's island
The GBA games list is nice. Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, Wario Ware, Metroid Fusion. Even the NES games, which include Zelda and Ice Climbers, ain't half bad. If they include Minish Cap and Link to the Past for us 'ambassadors' :roll: too, then I'll be somewhat pacified. But seriously Nintendo, WTF? It's a slap. That's it, I'm never buying hardware day one again.

One has to purchase a 3DS and connect it to the eShop by August 11th to be able to download the games. The NES games will be available for download Sept. 1st and the GBA games sometime at a later date before the end of the year.

Yeah, the 20 free games are actually really nice, especially the GBA ones. Glad they are including Yoshi's island because I sold that a long time ago and regret it terribly. Hopefully The Minish Cap will be included as I never played any of the GBA Zeldas.
HAHA, so they give the early adopters some nice GBA and NES games. I guess they realized that system isn't going to sell at that price point with such a lackluster library.

i dont think it had anything to do with sony that much i think it was more of nintendo only wants and gets high sales and the 3ds was not doing that so they cut the price

Wow 80$ price drop if you include tax Fan boys must be kicking themselves for buying it day one even tho it had Zero games. Looking at the hardware tho I bet they can produce them for under 100$ bucks there will probably be another price drop as soon as the PSV comes out.

Yeah those four are nice choices since I never played any of those so that good. Maybe the first Zelda game could be nice but I bet I won't get into the NES games much...
I still pretty piss through. I definitely not getting a PS Vita day one now or any system for now on.

3ds is still an overpriced gimmick at this point, but with the games rolling in later this year i wonder how PSV will manage. Furthermore i thought Sony was going to lose money on Vitas they sold? Now they have to consider a price drop sooner than anticipated perhaps.
Nintendo must have been really desperate thou, and the massive price drop only confirms how overpriced 3ds was to begin with... Biggest slap in the face to early adopters i've seen... and more ports as compensation... Buying a next gen console to play older gen games is not my idea of a good deal so i'll wait up and see how the handheld war is going to be.

Everybody gets the NES games- we just get them first (the press release says so). It's obvious the GBA games will be released to the public later too. Meh. Never buying Nintendo hardware early again.
