Dont expect them to improve on the hardware and graphics of their consoles.
Change, reshuffle, market more, be labelled on kiddy milk bottles.. but it does not change the Wii U.
They wont take risks like Microsoft and Sony would do to deliver a better capable machine for the consumers.

The specs of the Wii U are waaaay outdated and will be missing the best of next gen engines and games.
The production divsion needs to see what a Titan GPU does to PC games amoung many other components.

Slightly misleading. They have not closed down their HQs, they closed down one of their two major campuses in Europe, and are consolidating all their European operations to one premises within Germany. This is part of the restructuring operations that Iwata stated would occur back in March. No doom and gloom, just standard restructuring. Nintendo of America went through the same thing in 2007 as well.

Hopefully those 130 people who lost their jobs can get back on their feet again soon, though.

Well actually restructuring to the point of cutting 130 people.. Is a clear enough sign that things aren't exactly A-OKAY.

Yes, I never said they were A-OKAY either.

The problem I can see with Nintendo is they will continue to throw money away just like Sony has thinking it will get better, their luck is going to change until it's almost too late.

I hope they to turn their selves around, maybe they can focus on the portable market and release console titles under license to Sony and Microsoft. Hope they don't end up like Sega, the market needs competition.

You realize that is one in the same, don't you?

Not misleading at all.

Nintendo will close its European Headquarters

More like relocating their HQ. Did you even read this part? They are moving their HQ to Franfurt, Germany. They aren't closing their HQ.

The Wii U and 3DS manufacturer will cut 130 jobs in the process at various European locations and will consolidate its German HQ to Frankfurt.

Nintendo will close its European headquarters located in Großostheim, Germany, resulting in several redundancies in its workforce. The Wii U and 3DS manufacturer will cut 130 jobs in the process at various European locations and will consolidate its German HQ to Frankfurt.

Yeah it's CLOSING it's european headquarters. Ending with about cutting 130 jobs.

They are closing it, plain and simple. Just because they have another office somewhere and call it the headquarters now doesn't mean they didn't close the old one.

Time are changing, my friend. Development on tripleA hardware these days require expansion, not desolation.

Nintendo selling out to the monsters they unwittingly created isn't in any way shape or form "expanding"

Too bad for the people losing their jobs due to Nintendo's incompetence :(
