IDK about better than Sony but Nintendo can move a lot of LM3 coupled with the Halloween release and a proper promotion.

Who says Nintendo does release dates better?

They're boring as shit. Nintendo is so bland in their reveals. They don't understand the concept of foreplay, marketing, or hype, at least not anymore. I don't mind if Sony reveals games earlier and it takes longer, because it makes the build up more exciting. More time to discuss it on forums, watch Youtube speculation videos and the like.

Nintendo would drop games on us from out of the blue if they could afford to, it seems to them like early reveals are nigh obligatory. I enjoy the build up as much as I do the release, it's fun. Let's not pretend or argue that it's somehow objectively better that games aren't revealed until they're nearly upon us. There's a line to be drawn for sure, but Sony doesn't trespass upon it. They know how to tease, Nintendo doesn't. Nintendo has the properties that would explode in hype if they understood how to leverage them. At least Sony does.

@silkylove Yup that's my bad, you didn't equate dev time to quality. I guess i just assumed that's the point you were trying to make.

And i agree, Sony and Nintendo both have their strong franchises. Obviously Nintendo is my preference as i don't play Sony's offerings but i can see the quality and care put into them.

I guess the point of the thread kind of whooshed me lol.
