Nintendo DS lite and PSP owners enter please!

For you guys who got both handlet, please tell me which one i should buy for my birthday, my parents are able to buy what i want so please give me reasons for each console

Please do not post just a console because you are fan of Nintendo or Sony. I want to enjoy the console i would get :)

BTW: I got a normal DS as soon as it shipped, but i just got mario kart ds,super mario 64 ds and animal crossing, i enjoyed it but you know those arent very good games so i selled the DS, although I think the new black ds lite is sexy to carry with, and also to play, so maybe you got a taste of what games i like.

You own a DS get a psp. The duke DS does exactly the same thing as the lite.

Wait so you already have a normal DS? Then your good. You dont need to buy anything else.

judging from your sig you like daxter.  get a PSP and that game also metal gear.

If you dont like those games go for the DS.

Depends really, do you want to play slightly compromised console games on the go, or games that can't be found on other consoles at the cost of simpler graphics? The PSP is a decent handheld with (to me) sub-average multimedia capablities, while the DS is a great handheld, with no multimedia capabilites whatsoever. But if somehow in this present day, you don't own an Ipod and you want to listen to music, then you might want the PSP.

But if you want really unique games like Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright while still staying faithful to the old games, with games like Advance Wars: DS, Castlevania, Mario Kart, and more, and multimedia doesn't matter to you, then the DS is definitely the way to go. I have no idea what genres of games you like so I'm just presenting what's the highlights of both. The PSP is a graphical powerhouse, with some great (console based) games, and the DS is the fun (and innovative in a good way) machine with great games as well. Really depends on genre preference though.

I have both, and rarely play my PSP. My opinion is that you should get a DS, as the games are just better and a ton of fun.

Edit: Oh, you have a DS? Stick with that and forget PSP. 

Get a Ds Lite, it is worth it.

My PSP didn't get played for a year so I sold it.

It depends on the games you like .......

Looking at your sig, and being that Daxter is a GREAT game for PSP. Id say get a PSP.

DS is better, simply because it has way better games. Can't wait to be kickin your ass in MP:H online ;)

well, the highlighted text says that your parents are able to buy what you want, but you didnt specified nothing about consoles..

only handhelds...why dont you get a xbox360 ??? really good games GeoW,Halo3,MassEffect,Assassins Creed, 

Fable2, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Elveon, COD3, RSV, Oblivion etc etc etc etc.........

but if you dont want a 360/ps3/wii......go with the DS once again...its worth to get, good games, nice price, 

enjoyable handheld....

the psp is also good, but there are many games that are also in the PS2...its more like a

multimedia console...also has good games ...im on the same situation DS...PSP.....wich one to get

im declining more for the DS...good games comming....cheaper...longer Battery Life....etc etc XD 

Well, maybe I didn't mention im a able to get a Wii also, but  i think i can wait till there are more good games and gets cheaper, but if you guys give me reasons to buy it now, maybe it works ;), oh and whatever ill gett will be may 25th, so there is still time to think about!. Maybe you can get me ideas to get an 360 elite, it looks cool8)
