[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]Nintendo needs some new talent that can think outside the box and come up with new games instead of just rehashing the same ole same ole. That's part of the reason Nintendo is dead to me. All they do is release the same IPs over and over and over again. Not sure about the rest of you, but I can only play so many Mario games before I am bored sh!tless.RogueStatus283D Mario games come twice, if lucky, each generation... Mario 64 on the N64, Sunshine on the GC, and Galaxy on the Wii... You say you're sick of 3D Mario yet they hardly ever come out. Do you have issues understand wtf it is that you are reading? I didn't say sh!t about 3D Mario. I said Mario. As in all Mario games, not just the 3D ones. But again, wtf are you talking about? I never once said 3D Mario.

Only because Smash Bros and Star Fox come out often... New Ip by Monolith 2 New Ip's by Nintendo Um.....what? :/

How many franchises have the same brand impact like Mario? You are referring to Mario as a brand that is being milked, which can also be said about Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. Keep in mind that if we're not talking about Mario platformers, then we're talking about go-kart racing, sports games, and mini-game compilations made cohesive by a board game layout. In the case of racing games, it's only once per console. With New Super Mario Bros, ditto. The point is being made that while there are many Mario spinoffs, they're usually released once on every console. Mario Party being the exception, of course, but that is developed by Hudson.
Some games are 100% happening going by extrapolation of history (Retro, EAD Tokyo 3D Mario, Zelda 3DS, these should be the 2013 Nov/Dec big guns)
I think Pokemon Gen VI is launching in Japan only next year, no E3 presence.
Don't think Yoshi's Land rumors are true. DK 3DS might be true.
Idk how Nintendo will handle Monolith's Wii U game, but I can see it release in at least Japan next year. They're also supposedly working on a 3DS game.
Ultimately I think the list is fake, but a good one. It'll be correct on maybe 50% and "half correct" (i.e. launched in Japan, but no E3 presence) on ~25% of them and the final 25% will be no shows / games that don't exist.
Wii Sports 3 should also have been on that list.

Camelot's next game is unknown, hopefully golden sun 3ds.
Star Fox... nah. Maybe Platinum games could do one after Wonderful 101 / Bayo 2.
F-Zero is coming imo, but not yet.
it's looking like that massive restructuring will include studios for increased third party collaborations. We will likely be seeing a whole lot of them, similar to what Nintendo is already doing with Platinum Games for Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101

Its true that they do release the same franchise over and over again. They have been much better with it though then the other competitors still at least when it comes to release dates for established ips.
Each one is also much different than the last as well.

My favourite console of all time was the SNES. These days I can't get excited about anything Nintendo does because it doesn't really feel, to me, like they have moved on. Perhaps my tastes just changed as I got old(er)? Not saying that means Nintendo is purely for kids but it does feel like i'm reading the same lists as I did back when.
I bought a Wii. I played SMG 1 & 2, Mario Kart and so on but the magic just wasn't there. Sure they were updated, sure they had some new features but I didn't feel satisfied with them, either by the challenge the games presented to me or the way they played (SMG was ok, mario kart was horrible). Now it's not that I care about graphics & shooters as the games i've put over 100 hours + into recently have been Minecraft and Faster than Light.
Saddens me a little heh.

I get where your coming from. It happens and I won't criticize you for losing some faith in the company since they do have their issues that they can't seem to resolve.
For me, its more of the idea that I find there games very respectable and new with each release, but find their decisions on where they are going with their consoles and what they do to their series overall slightly disturbing. I'm still a fanboy by heart, but I am a logical person so my mind isn't always on their side.
For others, they find franchises built years ago still used today as indication of never growing. I only care if they grow on their mechanics, but some ppl see it as laziness as a whole and don't like to support such things. For a business though I can see why they would do that considering sequels tend to be easier to make then all new titles nowadays. Don't fix whats broken, but I can see why some ppl get disappointed considering the all new ideas that have come out these past few years.
I'll pretty much support any game if its good myself.
I think Shenmue III will end up being Wii U exclusive. Also if Nintendo buys Sega all those franchises will be exclusive.
But we know 3D Mario, Retro's new game, Monolith's new IP, and Smash 4 will show up at E3, those are pretty much given. Retro's game was pulled from 2012's conference at the last second, come June 2013 that would have already been a year. Nintendo usually announces a new 3D Mario early in the consoles lifespan, if it doesn't get announced we'll have to wait until TGS 2013 or E3 2014 which is unlikely. Reggie already hinted Monolith's new IP will show up at E3, same goes for Retro Studios. and Smash Bros 4 should for sure be ready for a debut trailer. Sakurai might even release a beta via eShop the day it's announced so the online will be flawless. Plus the guys behind Tales of the Abyss will be working on the single player so we're covered in both categories. Yoshi's Island, this was leaked. Square Enix and Kingdom Hearts III, is this the major partnership that will shock everyone? We shall see.Every time. Every time there is a rumour like that.

They also said Retro will be making 2 different exclusives. 1 will be a sequel to an existing franchise and the other will be a mature rated gritty FPS which was interesting.Every time. Every time there is a rumour like that.

You just jynxed it. :(I'm expecting E3 to be huge for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.

Lots of developers working on unknown titles so I expect to see a lot of them.
2012 only had Xenoblade and New Super Mario bros U so expect the big guns to release in 2013, haters have a seat.
I can see them being announced in 2013, but I can't see all of them to be released in 2013. It would be awesome, but it would also result in Nintendo blowing their load.2012 only had Xenoblade and New Super Mario bros U so expect the big guns to release in 2013, haters have a seat.

Camelot's president said he wanted to make Donkey Kong 64 sequel. If people are going to believe such clearly unsubstantiated rumors, then I'd say there are other rumors they should be dreading first. So yeah... Major first party push, be scared MF's.

Nintendo always disappoints at E3, so as a WiiU owner I'm obviously thinking they announce Star Fox U, Zelda U, and Earthbound UCleanPlayerAt this point I'd settle for a compilation of the original trilogy.

As much as I would LOVE to believe this, there is no way in hell. THis would be mind blowing and possibly the best E3 ever. I will be happy if they show one title that blows me away. I just want to see that Zelda/Metroid/new IP that makes my jaw drop.
Well, they better do so if the Wii U misses out on several important multi-plats such as Dark Souls 2, GTA V, BioShock Infinite, Watch Dogs, ect.
I think there isn't a older Nintendo fan that would think the console wouldn't need a new Zelda, 3D Mario, Smash Bros. and Metroid asap.
But they should also bring back Star Fox, F-Zero and Yoshi's Island and try to get more relevant 3rd party games on board (as they did with Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101 and Rayman Legends).
A new IP the quality of Mario and Zelda would be warmly welcomed too.
Nintendo always disappoints at E3, so as a WiiU owner I'm obviously thinking they announce Star Fox U, Zelda U, and Earthbound UCleanPlayerThe thing about Nintendo, is that they tend to only release info on games at e3 that are well into development. Yeah, it's going to suck that not even concept art would be released, but I'd rather have the game being developed without all the pressure and speculation.

Nintendo is not Sony and doesn't release sequels that close up, maybe in 3 years are so. We have seen them closer than that like these on cube. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (March 24, 2003) The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (June 7, 2004) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (November 19, 2006) Course sony has some over done series like socom too so I don't' see them as different in that regard. Having some that aren't is how I see them as different than ms.
My predictions...
Next year we'll see Pikmin 3, Retro's game, Yoshi's Island and maybe a Mario Kart. The only Zelda you're gonna get is one for 3DS. Smash Bros will show a teaser at E3 and that's it. It won't actually release till 2014. Same goes for Monolith's game. Zelda WiiU won't release till 2015.
