Project Hammer, Disaster, and Demo Channel:

Q:-What happened to Project Hammer and Disaster. Are these games still in
development?-

Is a Demo Channel for Wii-Games really planned? And If it is, can we
expect it in 2007?

A:Not bad English at all - at least your spelling is spot on! Disaster is still in development, but Project Hammer is no more. The Demo Channel will be coming out in 2007, and should be mentioned during Nintendo's press conference in some way.

Me: WOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!!!!!! I'm sad about Project Hammer but a Demo Channel!!!!

Smash Brother Brawl still online?:

Q: I know everyone is begging for new smash brothers news but this one is driving me insane. Have you got any word on the possible online modes that are going to be available? If Nintendo sets it up right, it could possibly become the most legal addicting substance since cigarettes.

A: I haven't heard much on Super Smash Bros. online modes, other than that they'll be the pioneering the way for future Wii online games. So it simply can't be bad!

Star Fox Wii:

Q: Have you heard anything about Star Fox making an appearance on Wii?

A: Star Fox will be coming, but probably not this year.

A new Metroid and Mario game to the DS!!!!!!:

Q: Do you know anything about the possibility of a sequel to NEW Super Mario Bros or a 2D Metroid title hitting DS?

A: More Mario and Metroid games will be hitting the DS soon - I promise. One will be shown at Nintendo's press conference - I guarantee it.

maybe these are not new things, but they are great things to get excited about. Star Fox 64 is one of my all time favorite games and I'm still waiting for a worthy follow up. Perhaps this will be it?

2D Metroids are amazing, and if your not excited about it, I feel sorry for you. And, this next Mario (If I remember correctly from an Interview a while back) is supposed to be a full 3D mario instead of a 2D one. Mario 64 was outstanding, and I cant wait to see how they use the touch screen! Phantom Hourglass seems to be doing REALLY well with the new control!

Gamespot Preview of Zelda - "After a few minutes with the intuitive touch-screen controls, you'll wonder how you ever got along with just a d-pad and buttons"

And beyond all of that... Disaster is new and Miyamoto has yet to reveal his new IP. Pikmin is still a new Nintendo IP as well, and I really want to see a 3rd game :D

Every gen Nintendo comes out with one or two new IP's is more like it. Pikmin is okay but hardly has the appeal of stuff like God of War or heck even Jak and Daxter. Nintendogs? Ugh. Casual trash. Just look at the DS, what new IP's did Nintendo make for the DS? Casual crap? More mario games?

Super Mario 64 and StarFox 64 were indeed great games, I agree. But what happened to their sequels on the GCN? Don't get me wrong, I know the usual Nintendo franchises still make solid games, but none of them differ very much from their usual formula. It got boring for me, which is why I opted to pick up an Xbox 360 rather than a Wii after owning both the Xbox and GCN last generation. Nintendo needs a few new IPs.

I don't count Disaster as a new IP for Nintendo's gaming devision, only a new IP for the Wii.

Msoft owns Bungie, Halo is a Microsoft IP, Nintendo owns Monolith so disaster is a nintendo IP.

Nintendogs and Brain Age. Both of which outsold every game on the original XBox. Call them all the names you want but they are the reason that the market is in such a healthy state and the DS is pwning while the PSP is flopping. Pikmin was a very good game as well, forever blue looks decent, Disaster and Project Hammer look OK as well.

I said APPEAL, not score. Jak and Daxter was much more appealing than Pikmin. Ugly little man ordreing around other ugly little creatures. Jak and Daxter was funny and exciting adventure with a real epic three game story.

They are all good games. Metroid Zedla and Mario all get good scores and people enjoy playing them. Whats the big deal?

Monolith is second party. Not sure where the rights go for games that are made by devs that are owned by console companies.

Anyhow, good thing I got those gigabye SD cards so cheap. I've been meaning to use them.

Msoft owns Bungie, Halo is a Microsoft IP, Nintendo owns Monolith so disaster is a nintendo IP.

49 games in Development for the Wii. There market share is sky high. There software is always dominates the top ten. Both there consoles are selling millions where is the problem?
As long as the games are brilliant in quality and gameplay then wheres the problem.

Look at the games rating for Metroid and Zelda. Not a single game has dropped bellow 6 or 5.

now this is a dumb argument. Nintendo owns Retro Studios, and Retro Studios is making Prime 3. Is Metroid a Nintendo IP? Yes. Does Nintendo own the IP Disaster? yes.

Before Insomniac made that game they made Resistance. You see its a trade off. New IP then back to old reliable ones.

Nintendo forgets that first step every time.
