PS3 has TLOU and.... GoW I guess.
360 has Gears: Judgement and.... ummm....
Wii U is clearly the console to have in 2013. Though I am amped for TLOU.

Also kid. Hate to break it to you, but the "now" for PS3 and 360 includes their whole library, not just 1 game, but nice try.AmazonTreeBoa
And the Wii U is BC, so its now includes all Wii Titles. See how that works?
Now go ahead and make a comment about how weak the Wii's hardware is, since you don't have a leg to stand on.

Why would you buy a "next gen console" to play a Wii game? unless they do HD collections i don't see the point and even then its not like they have an Achievement/Trophy system to make you want to play they game again.

[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"] Their have been some great 1st party titles but most of the standout titles this generation have been 3rd party titles for myself. Having good 1st party titles and barely any 3rd supports will just keep the console on life-support(GC/wii). No console manufacturer produces enough great 1st party titles to maintain their consoles. Unless you enjoy waiting 4-6 months for their nxt title.
nintendoboy16
This exactly!
I seriously cannot fathom how one could feel 1st party support is more important. 3rd party games make up the VAST majority of great games.
Because if the companies who made their own system can't do it, then what's the point of releasing a console then? Might as well game on a PC if you want nothing but third party games (granted there are occasions and PC doesn't really have a first party, but still).Because the companies can only put out so many games at a time? And also because the first party devs are merely the tiniest fraction out of all the devs in existence?

Hey Loosey, how's Banner Saga? I was thinkign of getting into the beta as it looks interesting - but is it multi-player only?
balfe1990
For a second, I thought you were referring to Looseys game.
Loosey did that? Hehehe. Though, as a programmer who's dabbled with XNA, I'll tell you that that's not bad for a first effort. Making games is hard.
1st. You forgot GoW: Ascension
2nd. The only WiiU exclusive that interests me is Bayonetta 2, but that alone isnt worth a $300 console so meh
Also, somethin tells me Rayman Legends will be multiplat, sooner or later
sorry but the Wii U's lineup is not impressive imo. A 2D mario, P100, and bayonetta 2 are not groundbreaking. PS3 and Xbox 360 are soon ending their cycle and it's obvious that many major studios are working on real next gen games so they will be ready by fall 2013-spring 2014. there are also plenty of third party games not on the Wii U and the ones that are are proving greatly inferior to last gen consoles. for nintendo;s own sake i hope their first party games deliver because if they don't the console will have nothing espeacially when the other systems come out and third party support dries up. launch games for PS4/X720 Destiny, Halo 5, Uncharted, DOOM 4, Fortnight from Epic, Perfect Dark Core, etc. even if some of these games are not exclusive they will most likely not show up on WiiU due to hardware limitations.

Still doesn't negate the fact that even if a console got most of the third party support, it would still be DEAD without the first party supporting their own system. I'd rather have a system on life support with first party (and some third party) support, rather than a DEAD console with NO first party and overrun with third party. Nintendo is at least trying to get third party support, which gamers can't decide if they want it or don't want it (come to think of it... it's something of which YOU seem to be against, despite the fact that you're criticizing them for lack of third party support right now).[QUOTE="STOPSAMMING"]n64 had much better games freedomfreak
piiu has some of the suckiest first party nintendo games ever and multiplats horribly suck these days.
no reason to buy piiu
mario 64 would of worked better for cooperative play than mario for wiiu.
atleast u wouldnt have to wait for the other players for the screen to scroll further into the level.
I laughed. Wii and Wii U have nothing interesting, PS3 has always had the better exclusives, as does 360.

This gen has been a testament to the importance of 3rd party. If you will notice, the VAST majority of the best games this gen were all 3rd party multiplats, something which the Wii missed out on.
I never criticized Nintendo for trying to get 3rd party support BTW. The problem is that their brand new console is barely keeping up with the current gen consoles that have been out for YEARS. MS and Sony very likely won't be going a Ninty route with an underpowered console. Their new consoles will most likely be significantly more powerful than the current consoles including the Wii-U, and this will lead to the same problem the Wii had with 3rd party. The Wii-U will be left too weak to handle the games being made for the HD twin successors and will be left out of the HUGE chunk of wonderful gaming that is 3rd party games.

Uh, were you not one of many who criticized Nintendo, SEGA, and Platinum Games over Bayonetta 2 being Wii U exclusive? Yes they were in that crowd of upset hypocrites that say "Nintendo doesn't have any good third party games" but then when they secure exclusive third party games such as "No More Heroes", "Tatsunoko vs Capcom" and "Bayonetta 2", they switch and start crying like "Waahhhh, Why did (Insert 3rd party company here) put that game on Nintendo's console? It should be on (Insert fanboy's preferred console here). It would look better in teh HD's". Now that Nintendo has burst their heads with an HD Exclusive (That MOST of them didn't even care about the prequel), now their britches are in a tissy because they can't use their petty "It doesn't have HD" argument anymore. also supporting splitscreen where everyone can do their own thing without having to wait for other players to scroll screen further like mario on wiiu.

Lol the butthurt is strong in this one!
And yes, I was mad at the fact that now the series is exclusive to a platform that it's previous fans aren't likely to support, so in a sense it is dumping off the very people who were actually supportive of the series in the first place.
If people want to bring up that ancient thread (which BTW this whole thing is kind of stalkerish), you might want to bring up how I brought up the crappy way Ninty has treated it's 3rd party exclusives, like how they bought out Fatal Frame and then didn't even release later entries in the same COUNTRY as previous titles in the series...

Where is your source to claim these are Xbox games? No developer on Earth would develop for Xbox exclusively next gen unless they have a death wish. The development cost would be FAR too high. The install bases for PS3/360/PC combined barely sustain companies now.
epic has been okay soo farIf we extend it out for 12-24 months, I would hope for Wii-U's sake that it will dominate the current consoles.
but come on now...short term
in next 6 months PS3 has Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, Ni No Kuni, Beyond: Two Souls, Sly Cooper
Wii-U has Pikmin 3, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (which is just a remaster/remake), Rayman Legends (which may end up multiplat). What else that actually matters?
As far as important exclusives that are CONFIRMED for next 3 months, the PS3 actually has the edge. The Wii-U is sort of in a lull between it's launch, and the next wave of games which will be announced.

Epic was just lucky it released a good game in the beggining of a gen. Would gears been released now and I highly doubt it would have the success it has.
