you know, i used to love nintendo. i grew up with a nes in my bedroom and i played that thing to death. smb3, loz, battletoads, the system had some amazing games. even when i recieved a snes way back when, the goods times didn't stop. contra3, smw, uniracers (props to whoever remembers that game :P), it was an amazing time to be a gamer.

but now, NOW i have to admit my love for nintendo is pretty much dead. i haven't enjoyed a nintendo console since the n64, and even hen, the pickings were slim imo.

this is the unholy monster nintendo has become. between weresonic and this, i'm thinnking its high time sega and nintendo dissapear forever.

The GameCube was awesome. Metroid Prime, SSBM, and Pikmin were all superb. All three combined beat every game ever on the Wii (IMO)

Motion control is the worst thing to ever happen. I remember being so hyped up for the wii. I bought both my gamecube and wii on the midnight launch. What a mistake i made for the wii. The only good games for the wii (IMO) are super paper mario and SSBB. Two games with little to no motion sensing at all!

NINTENDO ALREADY HAS MASS CASUAL APPEAL, Why try to go over 100%? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Wii still sells out on a daily basis...why else do you need casual appeal other than to get the casuals on board?

I'm glad i don't own a Wii yet, i think it's turnig out to be quite a disapointing console.

We don't know if what Miyamoto said about E3 is true or not. He could have been lying his ass off or he could have been telling the absolute truth. Only time will reveal his motivation for saying that, damage control or strategy. And yet the haters state Miyamoto is in damage control mode as if it is fact.

As for me, I'm leaning more towards the side that there was some truth to what he said about E3 being different for them, if only because I don't mind admitting when I am wrong. However, I acknowledge that he could indeed be in damage control mode and that we won't know for sure for a while now. Both haters and apologists a like are refusing to take any sort of objective position on this and one of them are going to be owned pretty severely because of it.

But this is System Wars afterall.

Nintendo said years ago that they were going to change their business model. And yet, people here are still acting surprised and upset. Get over it.

If people are unhappy with Nintendo's offerings, then there are two other gaming platforms available.

Nintendo is in the business of making money and the Wii is working very well for them so far. Get used to it. As long as this model continues to be a profitable one for them, it will continue.

Yes from our stand point it was a disaster.... but they want to appeal to a different market and make money its all about the money.....

What the hell is the point in pleasing a minority and losing out on the big sales... none at all.

Like I've said before lets say 100 people(who never owned a console b4) buy a wii, I reckon at least 10%-20% will move on to become a core gamer.... Cause remember we all started some where....

and also some people don't like first/third person shooters... I know its tough to belive but its true...

But to turn round and say there are no good games for the "core gamer" is just plain wrong.... and having purchased Okami today and looking forward too Force Unleashed(I will buy either the 360o or PS3 version, but its the control system I am looking forward to due to being a massive Star Wars fan), Conduit, Wario, Mad World e.t.c ....

i feel exactly the same..

dont get me wrong there are a couple good games on the wii

but nintendo has made a concious decision to dump many of its old fans (and by this i mean a specific market of gamers)
