I agree with it being one of the best but the beginning of Chrono trigger is damn well boring.

I really like Secret of Mana but that is one flawed as hell game. Chrono Trigger is a ways better than secret of mana. Secret of mana had by far the better soundtrack though and the free field battle system was a good change too.

Secret of Mana is cool too. But I enjoyed Chrono Trigger and the older FF games more. It's really good though.
