Alot of people here are fools. Theres a new Zelda and Mario game on the works right now. Remember!?! Yes Nintendo is focusing on the casuals more. THATS HOW YOU WIN THE CONSOLE WAR! People dont think these days. Nintendo conferences started to suck since E3 died and we all know it died 2 years ago. Nintendo is going to bring the awesomeness at more important events like TGS. Anyone who believes Nintendo genuinely cares about and devotes finances to core gamers is a damn fool. What Nintendo does is spend money creating marketing to brainwash Nintendo fanboys, and deceive core gamers. Most of the world is pretty damn aware of it at this point - after two years of blowing E3, after years with the Wii, it has become so obvious that I've seen strangers in the street, people who aren't even gamers, talking about how much Nintendo has sold out.

What really needs to happen is for Nintendo fanboys to stop lying to themselves. Anyone who calls Nintendo a "core" supporter is a cancer on the face of gaming - they're helping Nintendo to make more money, instead of supporting the companies that actually do the right thing and continue to support their long time fans.

I allready said this before, people have been over reacting and exaggerating about Nintendo's E3 conference. They are still focusing more on hardcore gamers then they do on casual gamers.

Yes, they haven't abandoned core gamers. they just reduced the number of core games they make to 1/10 of what they used to make, and the other 9/10 of it's dev muscle is dedicated on casual software.

that's begun with the DS, if i'm not wrong. or maybe even with the GBA. From there on, Nintendo has been aproaching the casual audience more and more.

Nah but seriously, their press conference was a disgrace. With that aside, if you were to view them as a single company/entity in the business, of which they actually are. I would be hard pressed to name a single company this gen that has offered far more hardcore oriented titles than Nintendo.

If the hate was targeted at the platform, there are a lot of reasons why I would understand people going there(like pretty much any platform this gen). But only at the company? Nintendo has made more hardcore first-party oriented titles this gen than Sony and MS... perhaps combined; regardless of their casual oriented titles. Or maybe, I'm missing something?

did you have some specific rules what hardcore is for you ? course there are many games coming for the wii:roll:

maybe games rated E are not hardcore for you

maybe games scores lower than XX are not hardcore for you

maybe course its a wii game makes it not hardcore for you

maybe the way you play games makes it not hardcore for you

cause this is as hardcore as it gets. thats nintendo latest release. if someone gonna say nintendo went casual, atleast say it and actually provide proof. i dont see nintendo putting out a constant stream of casual games, as lets say ubisoft. if anything, one could say ubisoft went casual.
