[QUOTE="Hir0_N"][QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="Hir0_N"] [QUOTE="Educated_Gamer"]the thing is, nintendo always crushes the handheld competition but not the console- for that it does for the first year and then no one buys it (at least for the n64 and gamcube)Haziqonfire
Gamecube never sold 7 million in 6 months and DS sold faster than the GBA and that is with competition. Yes Nintendo reputation helped the DS alot of the reason why its selling 200k/week JUST IN JAPAN is because of their strategy.
the thing many people fail to see is that current sales do not indicate how successful a company will be in the next 3-4 years down the road.
NO ONE knows what the outcome will be when the gen is over. Hell, i wouldnt be surprised if we saw the PS3, 360, or Wii as leaders in the market.
All 3 could potentially pull it off. The 7 point w.e million sales of the Wii in no way can tell us if Nintendo will be #1.
It never hapenned in the past that a console that sells like crap(like the PS3) suddently sky rockets and beat the competition.
yes but it could potentially happen. Im sure if the PS3 had cost about 200 dollars less, it would sell a lot better than it is right now. Also, if sony had done a better job marketing it.. than those lame Baby in a cube commercials.
Well thats the thing. They did everything wrong and I see no way they can recover. PS3, Wii and 360 is current gen. Its soon gonna be 1 year, not much time left to turn things around. I predicted all this. I said 6 months would a good delay to decide who will be the winner and everyone agreed. I said the Wii would be #1 at this time. Well im wrong but not totally since the Wii beats the other console every week and soon gonna pass the 360.
