Nintendo have the right to be Cocky

Since DS haters have been insulting this console with the word "gimmick". People called it Nintendo's last portable, flop etc... And we all know how it turned up, its crushing the competition right now.

Same thing the Wii. Only a few realized the potential and the genius of Nintendo's blue ocean straregy. People called it a gimmick(again) and despite its incredible sales since its November 2006 launch people are calling it a fad because of its inferior processing power even though DS philosophy proved that graphics dont really matter.

Nintendo is back, face it haters. They will be #1 and will have great and excellent games. Nintendo will dominate the portable and console market and will probably be the #1 game publisher.

So let them enjoy what they deserve and what they earned.

It has been more than 20 years, I dont think theyll turn into an Ubiflop or EA although EA did a pretty good job with the Wii lately.

Gamecube never sold 7 million in 6 months and DS sold faster than the GBA and that is with competition. Yes Nintendo reputation helped the DS alot of the reason why its selling 200k/week JUST IN JAPAN is because of their strategy.

Well it really depends on what you mean, if you mean just have a bit of a feeling of accomplishment and taunt the other companies because of their success its alright.  If you mean for them to truely get cocky and arrogant than that would be a horrible idea for them.

NO ONE knows what the outcome will be when the gen is over. Hell, i wouldnt be surprised if we saw the PS3, 360, or Wii as leaders in the market.

yes but it could potentially happen. Im sure if the PS3 had cost about 200 dollars less, it would sell a lot better than it is right now.  Also, if sony had done a better job marketing it.. than those lame Baby in a cube commercials.

The Past does not equal the future.  Im not saying its going to happen but in no way is it impossible.

Well thats the thing. They did everything wrong and I see no way they can recover. PS3, Wii and 360 is current gen. Its soon gonna be 1 year, not much time left to turn things around. I predicted all this. I said 6 months would a good delay to decide who will be the winner and everyone agreed. I said the Wii would be #1 at this time. Well im wrong but not totally since the Wii beats the other console every week and soon gonna pass the 360.

Arrogant? Ninendo has always been the most down to Earth and humble of the big 3 IMO.Private_Vegas

On the N64, they said they didn't need CDs because they claimed that their cartridge technology was superior. A bunch of third parties left, and Nintendo said "We don't need third parties anyway, we're NINTENDO!", and then they lost even more.

On Gamecube, they said "We don't need the internet! Gameboy connectivity is the REAL future of gaming, it's like having your own tiny internet in your living room!" And as we all know, Nintendo finished last place this past gen.

Now, Nintendo is being the most arrogant they've been since the N64, and that's not good for them. Pretty soon, "Eye of the Tiger" is gonna start playing, and Sony's gonna kick their butt.

A bunch of third parties left, and Nintendo said "We don't need third parties anyway, we're NINTENDO!", and then they lost even more.
