I find it funny that you are saying people dont like him cos hes black or doesnt do rap, yet you are guilty of making a similar error at the end of your post - putting down music because you dont like it.

Saying that, if its mainstream metal and rock you are referring to (or at least stuff from the last 15 years) I hate it too, but if people want to listen to it, I cant stop them. Neither can you. And im sorry, but not everyopne likes Kanye West or mainstream Rap, Hip-hop or similar popular genres.

I may be 80% into rock, but not liking rap doesnt make me racist. That part of your post really annoyed me. I love blues and a lot of older and less mainstream black music styles, just nothing recent. It annoys me when people think that just because a white person doesnt like rap they dont like anything from black culture. We should appreciate black music because it gave us blues, boogie woogie, rock n roll, and even influenced country to a degree. If it werent for blues, we would have traditional folk or classic, thats it. We would have very few popular genres from today.

Sorry for the rant, and I understand your frustration with some rock/metal fans, but im passionate about music, and 90% of rock fans are upset that their favourites have been vilified and pushed underground by mainstream music culture, especially fans of older music like myself..
