I'm 27, I have a Wii. To say something is for a certain age group, cuz thats all that you know who want or own it, is not very a intelligent statement The only people I knew that had a Ps2 last gen were either children(my nephews) or crackheads(lol, completely different subject).. but that doesn't mean that only children and crackheads like the Ps2, does it?

It's not something you can debate about in the way like "Which is better Warcraft II or Warcraft III?". The amount of kids who own a Wii is a factual number that cannot be debated about.

We have a wii too but it was a christmas present for my 9 year old sister. I play the 360 and the ps3. So overall id have to say that the ratio of 360s to Wiis owned by people i know is about 4 - 1. So when i hear about Wiis outselling everything i say BS.comptonst

While it isn't BS, the reason you're probably not observing the Wii phenomenon is because you're observing people who are actually into video games. A lot of the Wii's sales have been in the casual/non-gamer sector, so you wouldn't necessarily notice as much. As Nintendo said before they debuted the Wii, they're trying to open the market to people who don't usually play games. They've succeeded in this. However, to some of us (like me), they've also succeeded in somewhat alienating the gaming userbase who has kept them in the business for the last 25+ years. I've got a Wii, and it annoys me to no end that most 3rd party devs don't even want to bother putting serious games on the system, because they know half the Wii's userbase won't buy them, and will instead pick up a copy of "Game Party" or "Carnival Games" because they look more fun or like less work...
