That is an arcade style racer. I'm talking about actual sim racers like Forza, Gran Turismo.
LOL...I made this thread almost HOPING I would get owned. I guess it is true. There are no sim racers on ANY Nintendo console. We're talking 22 years here. That is just sad.

Ferrari Challenge aims to match quality of Gran Turismo
"The advantage we've got with the Wii is there aren't any great racing games on there. Of course, on other consoles it's a harder challenge. But rest assured that what we want to do is create the Gran Turisomo for the Wii. I can confidently say that the [DS version] is graphically and technically better than any other racing game. We are doing two (Wii) versions: one's going to be with a steering wheel and one without. It will feel as good as any other racing game does with a controller. Of course, once you have a steering wheel, it's got a much better feel. We are looking at the option of putting an accelerator and proper steering wheel in for the Wii version, because that's one of the problems of the Nintendo controller - you either have a very loose system that's very forgiving but unrealistic, or if you have it realistic and you suddenly flinch or something it could affect the performance. We feel we've come up with a very good solution to that. We have to aim our quality towards that title to ensure that we're in a position to be comparable to GT. But racing against the clock is not the direction that I think the market is going to go in the future. It's not our philosophy to sell something just because Ferrari is the most desirable brand for a racing videogame." - Mark Cale, CEO and founder of System 3
No basketball on Wii so far. Weird considering the control possibilitiesPhoebusFlowsIt takes time to make games but they did announce NBA Live 08 for the Wii.
meh, PC is for racing "sims", thats what i play on there. Forza and GT are fun but dont come close in overall realism. I think its safe to say most prefer fun racing games like mario kart on the Nintendo consoles.Ospi
Forza 2 is the most realistic racing game ever you fail.
I don't really like Racing Simulations but didn't they have Top Gear on the SNES that might be an Arcade Racer but it felt like a Simulation Racer when I played it at the time.Nintendo_Ownes7You beat me to it. that game was awesome. but I dont like racing sims now. does need for speed count or what is that?

That's very cool. Hope it is as good as it sounds.
theres lots and lots of games for the wii that constantly get announced, but go under the raydar. you have to do some research and you'll find games announcements you either forgot about or didnt know exsist on the wii.Rahnyc4
I don't usually nitpick on spelling, but that is a creative way of spelling radar.

NBA Live confirmed for Wii
An official confirmation of NBA Live 08 on Wii came from EA this morning. An event was held that announced Washington Wizards player Gilbert Arenas would be gracing this year's cover. EA also made mention that this would be the first time that NBA Live would be heading to the PS3 and Wii. EA Canada is working on the title right now. It should be interesting to see how EA uses the Wiimote/Nunchuck for a basketball game
its coming

i was actually thinking about raystorm while i typed that, which is why the spelling came out that way.. lmaoYou forgot TOP GEAR for SNES.
I never played it, but according to EGM, back in 1992 or '93, if memory serves....TG was one of the few decent racers (not sim) for the 16-bit generation on the SNES platform.

haha you fail so miserably. Play GTR, LFS, RF, GTL and get back to me.
It was great, I dont know how well it would hold up now, but I hope they are able to release it on the VC its definitly worth another play just for a good laugh and to see how it held up.You forgot TOP GEAR for SNES.

Yes that game was great. Top Gear 2 was a dissapointment.
[QUOTE="HarlockJC"][QUOTE="Hir0_N"]But sims are boring...
Id rather play Mario kart with friends anytime over any simulator.

there was a top gear 2?LOL. Exactly my point!
Racing sims = teh boring and lack of fun. Sorry but I will take Mario Kart, F-Zero or any other great Nintendo racing game over boring tripe like Forza. Gran Turismo is alright but still it lacks the fun that games like Mario Kart have, especially with multiplayer.DSgamer64Nah. I was trying to guide a souped-up Shelby GT-500KR (classic, not the new one) around Tsukuba earlier. I swear I was sweating, I was so into it. It requires skill, patience, and quick reactions.
