Nintendo NX vs Xbox One Elite vx PlayStation 4K: Which reveal are you more excited for, and why?

Pretty much this. I would be more excited about console 'upgrades' if there was a reason to buy the original models in the first place.

Excited?... Nope.

I voted for NX simply because we don't know what the f*** it's going to be where as the other two well we already know slightly more powerful versions of what we already have. That said from the controller mock ups and leaks the NX might just end up being that a slightly more power Wii U.

It's great the idiots who made these consoles finally understand tech waits for nobody. You can't have a static platform for 7 years that's insane. You have 4k becoming standard and VR trending. Clearly when your console has issues even doing 1080p 60fps you need to update your weak ass platform to remain viable in the future.

A controller leak that was proven fake.

Uh the NX because we have no idea what it is and because it's the only one to get games and I buy a console to play games on it not to watch TV on it or stream amateur porn.

I already got the NX with me though. It's alright.

The NX, easily. Nintendo's in a transitional stage, their future and place in the industry has never been so tenuous or questioned by so many. We have:

•new management after Iwata's passing, which could amount to a major shift in philosophies and attitude of the company (with Kimishima now in charge, maybe more western focus?)

•a step into mobile

•DeNA to help them get their online and accounts up to snuff

•amiibos and their NX functionality

•third party announcements

•the consolidation of their developmental pipelines so that software will work across all platforms, which hopefully helps cease droughts

•the hardware itself which will be telling of the audience they are targeting

•how the NX will replace their handhelds

All of these coming together will constitute and be indicative of a massive shift in the company's direction for the foreseeable future, and all through a machine that's going to be the anchor and testament to any change they've done or are willing to do to put them on a much needed new course. Is it a console that's going to be the vessel to change in these respects, or is Nintendo going to use the aforementioned initiatives to double down on a path they refuse to abandon, but only add to?

I've never been so curious to see what Nintendo's got planned, because they're in a tough spot currently and a lot is riding on the NX's back towards their future in the console space.

Will the Xbox One Elite Edition reach 1080p this time around or will it be it sold on lies and promises?

I bought a PS4 just for FF15... man I really hope that I dont need to "upgrade" it just to play it now.

Seeing as I don't really use my PS4 or Xbox One anymore, a higher powered version of the two won't do anything for me. I'll admit that I might use my PS4 more this year since we are finally getting a few exclusives, but not enough to make me buy an upgraded console.

The NX is the only one I'm interested in.

Honestly, I think I'm going to just opt out entirely and get back into PC gaming, because I feel the whole notion of mid-point hardware upgrades is utterly ridiculous.
