They are games that provide entertainment to the people that buy them.

Some people love to play death matches for fun, some people love to play as a Greek Demigod who kills everything that crosses their paths, and some people like to pet a virtual tiger and play games with them for fun.

What did these games stain exactly? Did I miss the news where all the "hardcore" games were being canceled in favor of nothing but Kincetimals clones? Last time I checked, there are plenty of games that appeal to all types of audiences.

Like I said before, people have their own tastes when it comes to gaming. I personally don't care for Just Dance or Kincetimals, but I accept that people like those games, and have no problem if they get some enjoyment from playing those game.

Not every game has to be splattered in gore and involve shooting or slashing something. I enjoy Call of Duty, but I'll also play other games like Kirby and Zelda.

There should only be enjoyment for hardcore titles. The core is what matters.

I love playing Call of Duty, but lets be honest here. The only one that innovated and brought new ideas to the series and its genre was Modern Warfare. All the COD games that followed have simply refined the formula that MW introduced.

In fact, that was a common complaint among players and critics when it came to MW3. It was a solid game on its own merits, but it did not stray too far from the template that MW introduced.

There is a difference between innovation and refinement.
