They made good or great games under Nintendo. Once they left, they started to go bad.If they want terrible developers on their staff then I don't see why not.
 at Silicon Knights.

[QUOTE="mitu123"][QUOTE="Nintendo_Ownes7"]Technically Nintendo didn't sell Rare Nintendo just refused to buy all 100% of Rareware so the Stamper Bros. went to Microsoft to sell their 51% of shares to Microsoft and since Microsoft owned 51% of Rare and had the Xbox Nintendo couldn't own 49% of Rare if its competitor owned the other 51% so Nintendo had to sell its shares to Microsoft.InfinityMugenI still wish it shouldn't had happened, imagine how they would be right now... Perfect Dark 2, Banjo Threeie, Donkey Kong Racing, Kameo and possibly a Conker sequel all would've been released on the Gamecube. Also Rare characters would've been included in Brawl since it was hinted in melee. True, imagine playing as Joanna Dark in a SSB game, that'll be awesome with all those weapons she has.

Joana Vs. Snake......that would be a battle I would love to see in SSBB, considering all the weapons between these two! lol
Why do things always get posted right after I think about them?
STOP READING MY MIND GAMESPOT! :x
In other news, I think that would be a great move both for Nintendo and the devs.

Whoever picks them up MUST release their games as multiplatform. Thats why they failed (exclusive ps3 games dont sell very well, unless they are high scoring games).
A 3rd party company such as Sega, Atari, Capcom or EA would be ideal. But the economic crisis means that they would be unlikely to buy.
Nintendo are probably the only company that have insane profits and the position to throw cash at these developers.
Timesplitters is too good to die.
why do they need to.. they are doing fine with out wasting their money on themmasterdanteWell it may help cure the alienation a lot of core gamers are feeling.
[QUOTE="kansasdude2009"][QUOTE="Vaasman"]Why would Nintendo buy horrible developers?VaasmanNone of them are horrible, their worst games were on the PS3, a system that is difficult to develop for, and extremely expensive. Money is exactly what there developers do not have, and under Nintendo, they have all proven to be great developers. Plus, in the case of Lair, the controls are what made it is abysmal, and Nintendo always helps their developers with that. A companies reputation rests on it's recent games, you can't have made good games once upon a time in neverland, and that makes you good forever. And yet people wet themselves over GG's new baby (I don't think they've ever had a AAA game).
So they can make "hardcore" games that no one will buy?supercubedude64BINGO!! just keep dishing out shovel ware, damn kids know no better, they buy anything with waggle,.
So they can make "hardcore" games that no one will buy?supercubedude64.......no one bought their hardcore games on the HD systems genius. The high development costs and tanking sales were then reason these companies went under. I think it's safe to say Nintendo is NOT killing gaming, if anything PS3 is with its super high development costs and low sales. What company is gonna be the next victim of PS3?
