@KBFloYd: I don't consider Splatoon shovelware, it's just under games I'm not really interested in so it doesn't compel me to get a switch.

What I was getting at is a lot of the games people list as being a reason to get the switch are pretty weak (splatoon isn't one of them) and people know it when they list em.

Is the switch library that lacking (which isn't a big deal early into a console) that lists need to be bloated with things like minecraft?

Back on topic. Hope Nintendo ramps up supply for the holidays. Part supplies is a crappy excuse considering nearly every electronics company deals with that, yet it's Nintendo always having issues with stock.

@Legend002: I think the Switch can totally be considered a competitor.

Graphics aside, if some heavy hitters start showing up on Switch I'll probably be more inclined to get a Switch copy purely due to the portability factor.

When Persona 5 hit the PS4 all I could think of was how much better the game would have been if I could just take on the go. For now, the Switch doesn't have the library (or even the systems to stock up the stores) to compete with hardware that's been on the market for 4 years, but it's growing and it's growing pretty fast.

It is a BS excuse and everyone knows it. This is Nintendos strategy 101.

Either Nintendo is incompetent OR they do it on purpose to create artificial demand.

Every single one of their products has "shortages".

The wii, Wii u, switch, amiibos, various accessories, Nes mini, Snes mini...

How do you explain this? Either Nintendo is stupid or they do it on purpose. That is the only 2 options.

Sony and Microsoft never seem to have supply problems or they don't last long anyway. They fix it right away. Nintendo takes up to a year to fix the supposed problem or just cancels the nes/snes minis.

You all know this is true.

Seems like a fairly reasonable deduction in my mind. You could also say that they just don't commit wholeheartedly and wait to see if the demand is there and then let it work itself out over time. I don't know if they literally think it will increase demand or if they just don't want to commit. I think both options are reasonable.

@charizard1605: A better first 6 months since the Dreamcast? It's two only must own titles are also on the WiiU. It's a good start, but it seems to be already going downhill.

@vfighter: 'Must have' is defined subjectively, and the Switch has had a major exclusive one a month every month since launch.

How is it going downhill exactly?

I wonder how @Renegade_Fury feels about this?

LOL at Wii U shortages. Nintendo had massive return shipments on the Wii U after its first Holiday season.
