They're so full of ****. They could've given a live demo of Wario Land or any other real game coming out in the near future. Anything at all would have been better than just showing a guy flailing his arms on stage. (the guy playing drums)

Yeah which is past odd, there's no excuse for that from anyone in the industry after hearing Nintendo's statement.

Last year people yelled about Wii Fit yet it gave Nintendo top tier coverage in mainstream media for the calendar year.

This year they took the same approach. They care about the mainstream media because E3 is the only event that's covered by the mainstream.

For the exclusive shows that are only covered by places like this they can release the rest.

I like the excuse that people weren't expecting a new Mario or Zelda so people shouldn't be disappointed in what Nintendo did show. Here's an idea Nintendo. How about making some NEW IPs that aren't crap like Wii music. You made your name making quality games that appealed to everyone.

The company that made Metroid, Mario, Zelda, etc...has resorted to Wiimusic? And when people ask where all the REAL games are, they say "Well, nobody expected Mario or Zelda". That's it? Thats the choices Nintendo offers but sees no problems with? Well, either we rehash the same games over and over, or we make games for toddlers? That isn't a choice at all. How about making REAL games. Hell, why would I even pay the money for a Wiimusic or Wiisports when for $10 I can get Lost Wind or PixelJunk Eden? Those games are better looking, more innovative and way better than anything NIntendo showed at E3.

Boo-hoo, some second-rate press outlets didn't get to make a couple of lists. Publicity garnered at an E3 press conference is of dubious value, anyway. All the real stuff happens on the show floor.

I disagree that Nintendo has always been for children. However, their E3 says that children is their focus now. And by children I don't mean 11 or 12 year olds, but under 10.

When I see game companies at the largest game show in the world, I naturally expect them to show games, especially ones aimed at the core gaming audience, since that is the point of a gaming expo.

And the anger comes from Nintendo completely turning their backs on core gamers and then acting completely oblivious towards them and their point of view.

E3 isn't for the gamers anymore, it's for the devs and the media

It changed years ago and now it's the only mainstream media event.

If you want a show that caters to the gamer then you're going to have to pick something other then E3. It hasn't been for the gamer in years now.

what games are good or not is still opinion. for some reason, cows and lemmings just love to hold others to their 'standards'

they just love the same games from last gen but with shinier graphics.
