That list is kinda dissapointing, I dont see a single AAA candidate there. Only AA and down.Samurai_Xavier
No More Heroes 2? They're improving everything from the first game, which got 90% here
Dude... SER69, I love your format so much, i'm stealing it for Nintendo Dream. I'll be making my own thread like this only to include DS games and other features.
This is one awesome thread, I just think you should get rid of the junk...

Mushroom Men looks really niceFawlcon_PawnchYup it's shapping up really great. Here you can check a really interesting thread where "JulioConQueso"(who is in charge of combat design), gives a little insight about the game. It's really interesting. And Here is a youtube version of the above tatsunoko vs Capcom Trailer
So by "games to look forward to" you meant, "every wii exclusive thats coming out regardless of quality"? day of crisis? punch out?
madworld looks cool though.
Nope, If I listed ALL the games comming out for the Wii the list would be atleast three times as big.So by "games to look forward to" you meant, "every wii exclusive thats coming out regardless of quality"? day of crisis? punch out?

are you suggesting that punch out is not a quality title? :?So by "games to look forward to" you meant, "every wii exclusive thats coming out regardless of quality"? day of crisis? punch out?

Mushroom Men is one of the few games on the Wii I'm really looking forward to. I think it looks really good. I predict that it'll suprise a lot of people, a sleeper hit (like Psychonauts was. EDIT: A critical hit, not a "sales" hit, Psychonauts obviously didn't sell as well as it should.)
I don't get the anticipation for MadWorld. I don't think it'll turn out that good.

Platinum Games, former Clover Studios, have yet to produce a bad game. Even God Hand's bad reviews in the industry where completely rejected by the gamers.
Just like Bayonetta and Infinite something, Mad World has a great shot at being a very good games.
edit: there i even made a Mad World sig to celebrate:P

Platinum Games have yet to produce a bad game because they have yet to release a game. Platinum Games is not Clover Studios. It was founded by members of Clover Studios, just because it has many of the same members of Clover doesn't mean it is. That's like saying, years and years ago, that Wideload Games is basically just as good as Bungie and Stubbs the Zombie is guaranteed to be awesome because Halo was.
Bayonetta doesn't look good to me either, looks cheesy.
Mad World, while it is visually unique in its SinCity-esque approach to its visual presentation, looks like a game that relies on cheap ultraviolent parlor tricks (and don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with over-the-top violence in games.... but its worthless if the core gameplay doesn't support it. Like the difference between Gears and Manhunt) and very little substance. The game's premise seems to limit what it can possibly do. It's almost a Smash TV- like concept.... it centers around a big beefy dude with a weapon arm competing in a do-your-best-to-survive Game Show. Looks like something that would be fun to play for 20 minutes, but would wear thin once the gimmick of the ultra-violent enemy dismemberment wears off due to endless repetition.
And Bayonetta.... just looks like a typical generic action game with typical generic character design.
If I had to predict scores for those games I'd guess Mad World 7.5, Bayonetta 7.0. If I had to guess a score for Mushroom Men I'd guess 8.5 or 9.0.
Mushroom Men is the real game to look forward to on the Wii through my eyes..

And those members consist of leading people of the Resident Evil games, Okami, Viewtifull Joe, Devil May Cry, God Hand etc...

They said there is a story behind Mad World and that you will have various locations to explore and bosses to fight in order to progress in the story. Its not like we dont have a precedent from which to base what to expect from this game, it seems to be a mix of God Hand + No More Heroes. Have a little more faith in them.
And Bayonetta.... just looks like a typical generic action game with typical generic character design.RuprechtMonkey
Generic? heh, the game's protagonist is everything but generic, you might not like the kinky style but it aint generic. The game itself feels alot like Devil May Cry but then again, the director of Devil May Cry is behind it so...

I think they will all score in the 8.0s or more, and yeah, i cant wait to see how Mushroom Men turns out too.

But they aren't the same studios, and not all of the developers are the same. Nothing lasts forever...

It's not really an issue of having "faith" in them, I just tend to base how I feel about unreleased games based on all the information available. Being made by a studio with members who have made great games in the past isn't enough - there have been tons of cases like this and the games released haven't been up to par. I don't know... I just watch the Mad World stuff and it just seems so.... repetitive and soulless. I'm not saying it'll be bad, I just think it'll be forgettably average.

But it's not like every Devil May Cry has been a stunning success, and even the last one wasn't exactly superb.
I don't know, with the whole scantily clad good looking anime girl running and gunning, just seems so generic.

Well, I hope we're both right in them both being good.... but if I had to guess I'd guess Mushroom Men will be better than you think, and Mad World and Bayonetta will be worse.
Only time will tell.

Did they even explain the joke? The way they wrote it would probably make most people believe it has something to do with Miyamoto of Nintendo fame.... if I wasn't a huge fan of the old Samurai I movie starring Mifune about Musashi and didn't know the name that's what I'd think at least. I wonder if they even get it?
It's a play on Miyamoto Musashi, the samurai, since it's a fish place they changed it to Miyamoto Musushi.

Sim City Creator? Really?
I'd be more worried about games like Saints Row 2 gettin a 5/10 in 1UP
Or Fallout 3 having bad previews ;)

Well if you get your Fallout 3 news from NMA, they will make it seem like every preview is a negative preview. They will go to the most obscure no-name publications no one has ever heard of or cares about and post it, they'd probably even use reviews from first time bloggers, it's like getting Microsoft news from Sony Defense Force.
Everything I've read from the main sites is extremely positive. You'll be on the losing side if you're using critical opinion to slam Fallout, every indiciator points to that game being acclaimed.
And you're doing the same thing with SR2 that NMA is doing with Fallout 3, cherry picking information to support some kind of absurd notion (except the difference is you're making up the information.... whereas they're getting their info from world-famous and universally respected CanardPC - lol.) It has has an 84.5 on GR. From the "big 3" of online reviews it has an 80 here and at 1up, and 82 from IGN. 5/10 is clearly and abberation and hardly among the consensus about the game, not only that - that 1up score for that game doesn't exist. Where are you getting "5/10 from 1up"??? 1up gave Saints Row 2 a B, that's translates to a numberical score of 8/10.
Sim City Wii on the other hand is getting bad news all around. 66 on GR, bad score here, 59% at IGN (no review yet on 1up.)
Facts are facts.
