sure. the big 3 are graphical leaps there's no question in that. but you're missing the big picture. the problem isn't that the wii is weak it's that the devs are just mooching off good sales and aren't pushing the system to its limits.

however, i think it's ignorant to say that graphics aren't important. you need them for physics and textures and all that stuff. i get bored if everything looks plain and undetailed.

That makes no sense. What makes you think devs are pushing 360 or PS3 to their limits? They aren't, it's just easier to develop detailed graphics on them.

You don't need graphics for physics, you do need hardware though. Even N64 was capable of physics, so I don't see your point.

And again, same can be said for 360 and especially PS3. Brag about Bluray and the Cell all you want, but they're not getting used (no more than the Wii's hardware).

I'm disappointed with the Wis graphics.

the game cube pulled off some amazing looking games. re 4 and zelda looks great if you think those games look bad your standers oh rocketed up so high so fast. i remember in the days of mario 64 when that game was huge in size and looked great . why how our standerds come this high that we need dx 10 pc games with 4 gbs ram and 2 gpus and like extream intel core duo with an HD 1080p monitor . why do we need game systems that are so expensive? the game cube pulled off berrer looking games then xbox one with its bit lower specs the wii is 2 times more then re4 to me tthats just fine .it takes years to make some games i ratther the company put more work into the depth of the game then to how it looks . yes its nice to have a great looking game but it comes at a huge cost to us and the devs.deadmeat59

i agree with you on this mainly because its wat ive always thought because at some point its overkill with games like Gears of War or Killzone and believe me i do love how these games look but in GOW u only have twelve guns to choose from i think i know what they made the most important thing in that gamee and it was the graphics

Yeah, the Core should be compared to buying a Wii without the sensor bar and Wiimotes. I guess it's possible to play with the core, but you're still not getting your money's worth.

the wii will surely have better looking games in the future. But i can see how people with hd tv are dissappointedwith it. My tv really makes it look like crap especially re4 and the legend of zelda which i know are both ports. come on wii lets get some original games goin here's hoping that mario galaxy looks as good as the videos. but iam sure that u will never satisfy people that expect next gento leap frog the predecessor.

the biggest issue with the Wii's lack of horsepower is that it forces Dev's to make some washed down port from the 360/ps3 version of the game that they worked really hard to optimize for. only first party nintendo games will look anywhere close to "pretty good". when the ps2/xbox were out - devs put all their time and effort into getting all the juice out of those systems; now that you have the 360/ps3 running hardware that's lighyears ahead of the third console, the developers have to put out crappy looking games with crappy framerates. unless of course they spend 3 years making a game for the 360/ps3, and then turn around and do the exact same process to make the Wii version look good - its just not feasable. thats why you're noticing many a game coming out for Wii that actually look quite a bit worse than ps2/xbox games - because they aren't being optimized. ever see the ghost recon version for ps2? same story. originally optimized for xbox, they see the ps2 has a big marketshare, they type in a few lines of code to turn off all sorts of graphical enhancements, and you get yer' Wii version.

nintendo gonna be soooory; but it will still sell a billion units because people are stupid and cant get past the fact that you get to swing your arm to control the character. but what happens when that appeal wears off? when your playing mario party fifteen 5 years from now and your purposely plugging in the gamecube controller because your fed up with swinging your arms.

if the Wii was $150 i could see a reason for it being on the shelf; but its a joke of a system. biggest appeal for me is that you get to play really old nintendo games that you've been playing while waiting for the Wii to come out. but really, if graphics dont matter to you then why even get a next gen console? whats the point of even releasing newer consoles then? for bigger and better graphics and physics and sound!

Whatever, my opinion is that the games look fine that I buy, EX : LOZ TP, SMG, MP3, SSBB, GH3, Zack and Wiki etc

Ive played the 360 on a big HD tv with madden, GH2, and NBA 2K7, while these aren't the best examples, it swayed me to "Well HD looks good but playing on a regular TV is fine" And ive also seen Wii games on awful TVs, like mine for example! :P Good graphics are cool, HD makes em look shinier and nicer, but it really doesn't change my enjoyment of the game.
