Nintendo will never have a great series like GTA or Call of Duty on its consoles

...because they ignore the hardcore market, and have complete disregard for big name franchises that are FAR superior to their own paltry first party offerings. Another Mario sports game? yawn. Another ported Ps2/Dreamcast game that came out months or years ago? yawn. Instead, we are going to make an exercise game with an overpriced step board. Ridiculous, and Wii fit is going to bomb badly over here. It's easy to be a cash cow, and ignore the true gaming market.

Call of Duty 3 was actually on the Wii's launch, but it was crap.

But really, no GTA will at least close the gap between the Wii's sales and PS3/360's, that's why PS2 sold so well, it had GTA as a timed exclusive.

yes and thats nintendo's fault that acitivision made a bad port? Instead of getting mad at the Wii or Nintendo why dont you place the blame where it should be, with the company that made the game.

The 3rd party devs that try on the Wii are putting out quality games. Nintendo 1st party title are the best in the industry. The Wii is fine. You just hate to be accepted.

Let's see, Super Mario Bros is the greatest fanchise in gaming history. It has even outsold GTA. Then you can add Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Metroid, SSB and are the Mario Sports games. Every casual gamer at my high school is a GTA and Call Of Duty:Modern Warfare fan. Those are horrible examples for hardcore games. I have a 6 year old cousin that only talks about GTA a few citys away. Still great games though.

Call of Duty 4 was on the DS.

GTA has been on the GameBoy.

It has nothing to do with nintendo ignoring the "core" market, and everything to do with stubborn 3rd party developers/publishers believing that wii 3rd party games won't sell. They belive there is no market on the nintendo machines.
