No! No name change! The Wii branding is successful: keep it. Plus the name has grown on me. PLUS the system has got tons of coverage from mainstream media under that name. Changing it now would be awful. Keep the name, Nintendo, but remember to communicate the fact that it's a new system, and not a revision or a peripheral, properly this time.[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="lazerface216"]
i am praying for a name change and mario in high definition.

The name makes so much sense. Not only that, but the name "Wii" (while refraining from being sexist) will make gamers not just identify the console with women, but MAINLY with women. It is a feminizing name, and by removing it, they allow their name (and image) to appear more "mainstream".
not only that, but the name goes hand in hand with the Wii. Nintendo "Wee" and Nintendo "You", rather than tacking on the Wii branding and making consumers subconsciously think this is just another version of the Wii instead of an actual new console.
