People saying this doesn't matter are fooling themselves, this is a problematic trend and it will only be worse when the 720/ps4 get announced. Meh, I will still get one for 1st party games and some gems like Rayman and Wonderful 101.Giancar

This is one reason why it isn't a big deal. And lets say you did get it, would you play it on WiiU? I doubt many people even would. Unless they want to put some special extra features into it like stuff with the touch screen or pointer controls. there isn't much reason to do it.

Also if you remember back to the beginning of this generation the PS3 was also plagued with this kind of thing but that isn't an issue anymore.

While some people on here want to pretend that this is not a big deal or it's a generic shooter, so who cares, the reality is that this is a bad trend for Nintendo. Every Nintendo system after the SNES has had horrible third-party support. And that has been one of Nintendo's biggest problems with their last three home consoles. Third-Parties either ignore Nintendo's home consoles or toss out token games that are inferior to the versions that are on competing platforms. What I don't understand is how people can act like not getting thid-party games is no big deal. The SNES and NES both had strong third-party libraries alongside the first-party games, and Nintendo's handhelds have always offered a good mix of first and third-party titles.

Yes, Crysis 3 may not be everyone's cup of tea. But not getting the game makes the Wii U look bad, especially given the fact that there are no longer any excuses as to why the game can't be ported to the Wii U. At the very least, it's as powerful as the Xbox 360 and if reports are true, outclasses the PS3 in certain aspects of its hardware. But again, third-parties don't want to put their games on the Wii U.

Crysis 3 is not the only game that has skipped a Wii U port. GTA V and several other games are not being ported to the Wii U.

Now, I know somebody is going to toss the argument that the Wii U is getting Bayonetta2 and Rayman Legends as exclusives to the platform. And that's good that the Wii U is getting those games, but two titles does not change a disturbing trend that is developing.

Time and time again, developers are saying that they are not bothering with the Wii U. Which makes this troubling because the Wii U is a brand new platform that needs games on it as soon as possible. But more than anything else, the Wii U may be going down the same path as the N64, Gamecube, and Wii in terms of droughts that were months long.

What the Wii U needs is third-party support that is on the level of the SNES. Yes, Nintendo games will always be the main reason to own a Wii U, but let's not forget the droughts that have happened to past Nintendo systems as people waited for those Nintendo games to come out. Strong third-party support is a positive for any system, and despite Nintendo's claims at E3 2012 that they were targeting the "Hardcore Gamer", it seems like very little has changed.

I don't think that's true, to be honest. I think what we're actually seeing is a result of the fact that most individuals who own a Nintendo machine use it primarily for exclusives and use a different console as their main system for gaming. That's pretty much how I've always treated Nintendo consoles, at least ever since the N64.

Sucks for Nintendo when it comes to getting third parties behind them in a big way, but the fact of the matter is that Ninty consoles don't really cut it as a primary/sole gaming console for a household.

These games have been in development for years now so I'm not surprised the devs don't want to focus on porting it and just focus on the plattfroms it started from.

Either EA is angry still at ninty for that dumb Origin deal failing or they just don't want to waste money on developing for the console.I think it's the former.The crysis franchise interests me a bit, but I won't lose sleep over this and bash other fanbases over a game I can already get. Some ninty fans do care about mulltiplat games and I'm one of them.

We don't know why Crysis 3 is not being released for the console.It could be the low userbase of the console or that failed origin deal.

You can stop the blind white knighting of Crytek at any time. Crysis 2 was a sh*t game and Crysis 3 will be a carbon copy of it. Crytek isn't learning sh*t from their mistakes. I don't care about the visuals. Pretty visuals don't make a game fun. Crysis 2's SP and MP were not fun, at all. They're not changing anything with 3, so I have no reason to give a damn about them anymore.

No more linear and small levels, crysis 3 will feature the same "sandbox" (I hate that term for a game that just has a huge map, specially with Crysis where even though the map was huge, there was only 1 path that lead to other areas) from crysis 1, go watch some gameplay videos and you will find a massive difference with crysis 2 levels.

I've seen the two Seven Wonders episodes and trailers/footage that have been released so far. All I've seen is a bunch of Crysis 2 map packs, super secret tessellated toad tech, tall grass, and a fat old white dude that's supposed to be Psycho. Going back to the roots is a flat out lie to try and save face.

I've seen them all. They're still the same size as Crysis 2. The damage done with Crysis 2 isn't repairable and a sequel won't save it either.
