[QUOTE="hakanakumono"][QUOTE="Abicus7"]No, I've played and finished nearly every FF, and they have gotten worse and worse.. PLus square already said that the battle system of 13 will be like 12. Awsome Square! way to take the worst part of a game and make a sequal with that same flaw.
Abicus7
Oh ok.
I believe they were good until after X. I haven't been much of a square fan after X.
Do you hate the playstation titles? Are you a final fantasy purist?
Whats bad about it? It may have not been exactly like the previous titles, but I enjoyed the Final Fantasy XII battle system the most.
I love square soft. But after finishing any square-enix game it just collects dust on my shelf. (crisis core, FF12, FFx-2) Nothing new comes even close to the classics like the pre-X FF's, Chrono trigger, Xenogears, FF tactics ect...
It just seemed abit weird that I finished Vayne in 12 without pressing 1 button, non-interactive battle system FTL
I agree that square lost steam when they merged with enix.
Actually, the Tactics port on the PSP renewed some faith in me. It totally reviatlizes the game.
I'm waiting to see what they'll do with XIII and Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday.
Yeah, I didn't really rely too much on the gambits. I like to have control.
[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="spike6566"]THANKS MS for ruining NAworld69star69
Yeah, cause like White Knight Chronicles isn't totally taking forever to get a US release, right...
Excuses, excuses. Let's blame MS.
I will blame MS, unlike you who seem to wosrhip ms. MS is the reason we have to wait, we have to wait for the 360 version to be done when the ps3 version will be sitting there ready to go, it won't take that long to localize it, hell it should be done during the making of the game as voice actors are different then programmers etc.. And if they get snagged with bugs wiith the 360 we have to wait, when it would already be made on ps3. We have everyright to be upset with both m$ and se they release all other multiplat games on 360 but make the ps3 wait, why not release this to the usa on ps3 and make the 360 wait? MS that's why, they drove that truckload of cash into se headquarters last summer right before e3 as they didn't have much 1st party stuff to release.M$: We dont have any great ideas.. but we do have a truck load of money and hey thats just as good!

Well, adding to a game thats already great doesnt add credability to me. Just like they remake almost every classic game with a few new bits of gameplay.

Its not a simple port like the GBA VI or something. They redid all the dialogue because the translation was poor in the original and added beautiful new cinematic cutscenes, as well as the usual added gameplay portions. The original playstation ver. is vastly inferior (mostly because of translation).

Yeah, I agree with you.. FFt on PSX was broken.. I forgot about the jibberish they tryed to pass as actualy conversation.
[QUOTE="ice144"][QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]They also said they are releasing both simultaneously, didn't they? In NA.. geez you people are so sloooooooooow. The Japanese PS3 version isn't even done yet.. MS has nothing to do with this. Morons......
IIRC Squeenix said they weren't going to start the 360 version until the PS3 version was done.xsubtownerx
We have two scenarios.
1. Square will try to release the X360 ver at the same time as the PS3 ver or it will be released somewhat later if the PS3 ver is finished first.
2. The 360 ver wont be finished in time with the PS3 ver so the PS3 ver will be held back.
If its the latter case, then I guess you could blame microsoft (it does look like some sort of agreement was made and it would nearly confirm it), but you also would have to blame square.
Wait wait wait wait hold up. This is MS's fault? Nobody told Sony they didn't have to secure their exclusives. Its Sony's fault for even giving MS a chance to get this game. They obviously wisened up when this happened otherwise we probably would have seen FFXIIIVS go 360 as well.BlackbondJackpot. I think he's got it!

Maybe sony didn't feel it was worth it trying to outbid microsoft.

Seeing as how the game started on PS3 and was already shown and being deved on PS3 it was Sony's parogotive to keep it. Them not keeping it is there fault. Final Fantasy is one of the most valuable IP's in gaming. It should have been kept at extreme cost.

It's still on PS3, isn't it? And in Japan its PS3 exclusive.

No, really whoever let the FF IP slip from Sony's fingers I can guarantee is sleeping with the fishies, with a new pair of shoes if you know what I mean. Video gaming, it's serious stuff!

Maybe porting it to the 360 in NA might have been a bad idea as well, well have to see[QUOTE="hakanakumono"][QUOTE="Blackbond"]Seeing as how the game started on PS3 and was already shown and being deved on PS3 it was Sony's parogotive to keep it. Lol, actually, I wouldn't doubt it.
Im starting to worry when i think about a European release:? Maybe just import the NA one then....-DrRobotnik-
Viva la PS3's region free-ness
I was reading an article that reported that FFXIII isn't being released in Japan until probably holiday season 2009, and it isn't likely to be here in the states until summer 2010 at the earliest and holiday season 2010 at the latest! I was severely troubled when I heard this, and thought to myself, why? Why does Square and a few of the other bug name publishers do this to us? It just is unimaginably aggravating. Your thoughts?Shenmue_Jehutywow by that time there will be a new console, this gen is like ready over.

It looks like that Final Fantasy XIII is coming out late 2009 in Japan. Looking at the past Final Fantasies. FFX came out in July 2001, and came out December 2001 here, for FFXII it came out in March 2006 in Japan and Oct 2006 here. For FFX it took 6 months to bring it over here, For FFXII it took around 8 months. So it possibly coming out late 2010 in N. America MUST be MS fault, it not like S-E takes a long time to translate their games.
