Superbowl commercials cost 3 million a pop this year.. That's a lot of scratch. You better be damn well sure you are going to make that back.
I'm glad Sony was actually smart enough to drop the cash. I thought they weren't. I still think waiting until the Superbowl is a bad idea. They should have been dropping ads for KZ2 a long time ago.

Its a decent ad. I think they could have cut the whole little intro - and saved a few seconds on some more in game footage. And made it a bit more bombastic. Never the less its nice to see Sony marketing hard.

Im not believing the KZ2 ad, it's 52 seconds which means $5.2M, thats alot of money, so I'll keep it in the rumor mill, if that ad is going to be in Superbowl for real, it would be cool to see Sony be aggressive in marketing their games at last.

I believe it only because it says "enjoy the game" at the end. If it's not fan made, then theres nothing else the commercial would be for. Most commercials say enjoy the game during the super bowl

But an ad for Levis Jeans and an ad for Killzone 2 are not the same thing. Unless Sony is going to have a marketing buget for Killzone 2 of $8M+ for just the US. They have around $3M for the UK. So for an world wide marketing buget it may get up to $10m. Now before the Super Bowl I could see it. But during the Super Bowl it would be too much money.
Take the source for what you will, but here is an alleged list of companies that will run commercials DURING the SB. Also, people realize that the commercial has to be APPROVED by the network before they even decide to air it. Just because you have $3M to blow on the spot doesn't mean you'll get the ad time. That's why you see those morons who try buy ad time in order to propose during the SB get turned down all the time. I honestly would like to see a KZ2 ad or a video game ad during the SB but, realistically, the commercial in question will probably be played on Spike TV or MTV during some type of Super Bowl special they'll have on their channel.
