No Gears 2 for PC ever!!!

Cliff Bleszinski has saved us months of tedious speculation by ruling out a PC version of Gears of War 2.

"Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around," he told IGN matter-of-factly.

can't picture playing the game with M&K....adding a PC controller would be silly, when a cheaper console alternate is better.

this isn't really shocking, sure most of the fans have a 360 for it.

And dont say they didnt. It wuld not take much to port thegame to the pc and they money they would earn from it would probably exceed how much they would earn with selling it on the 360.

The PC version was not a bad port, it was still an excellent game with even more content.

I never said it was a bad port.

I just said it would not take much to port it as the 360 is similar to a pc. Also I know the pc got extras like fighting a brumack or something.

though i have a PC, i was still planning to get the 360 version since Geow2 if it will be released for PC it would be probably some 6+ months later...

It would take a lot more than a Ubisoft bodge-job port to make a PC worthy port. I'm pretty sure EPIC would at the very least try to make it look like they cared about PC still if they ever made a por. They realise the standards of PC shooters and they'd have to offer something extra basically.

It would take a lot of work is all i'm saying.

ye for now it will be an exclusive for xbox360 but dont rule out the pc version i mean they arent exactly gonna leave the pc gamers out in the cold are they....gears 1 came for pc and do you really think they will not bring the future sequels for the pc audience so that they can finish the story too?

It's scored lower on the pc. Probably the reason we haven't had Halo 3 either. Less wow-wee along with poor sales.

or it could be a marketing strategy so that they shift more Goew2 copies once released since people would believe it wont be out on PC.. they might have also in plans to release a Geow2/xbox360 bundle so by xmas time they would shift some more units.. and if people think Goew2 will remain exclusive they would have to get a 360..

anyway Geow2 is one of the 4 games am mostly looking forward to get this year...

I'm not too bothered, i think it'll end up on pc anyway unless the reason they're not doing it s because of lack of sales, and if that is the case no one will care anyway.

It's not all bad news hermeez at least you still have the first Gears of war, it's still the best PC game ever made. Play that. Gears 2 is for the real fans, ya know, the ones who bought the first game.20XX

Well, yeah. If 2008 GOTY is on 360, you need to buy it to own GOTY. Makes perfect sense. I mean unless you waste money on the ps3 couterpart and not have GOTY...

It will end up on PC. Just like the first game did.

When did Epic ever rule out a Gears 1 port? I don't remember ever hearing that.
