since he has totally denied it, I am not really sure it will come to pc or not. both for geow or ME they just said they do not have any pc version planned currently.
anyways, i personally don't care much for the game, the first one became tedious half way through and I certainly cannot stand more of the same
i dont believe him. but I think it would strengthen the xboax 360 by not losing all their exclusives to pc all the time. it was really unesseceery with viva pinata, gears 1 etc. to come to pc when they didnt sell that well either wayNaiKoN9293
never saw any figures on either. How do you know that?
Then what happens when they're accused of lying to the interviewer's faces? People are starting to get tired of gaming lies (and Sony is probably the most guilty of all), and this may come back to bite Epic if people start shunning Epic games due to their lack of honesty.[QUOTE="skektek"]I'll bet my left nut that there will be a Gears 2 PC. Of course they are going to state that there will be no Gears 2 PC, why would they want to cannibalize 360 sales/hype?HuusAsking
Epic Games isnt speaking. Cliffy B is the only man who is speaking and he is known to be biased against the PC. Mark Rein, Microsoft, and everyone else with fists full of money are the ones who make the decisions.
I have a feeling one these days Epic Games and Cliffy B will have to part ways.
I wonder how much MS payed them?
And dont say they didnt. It wuld not take much to port thegame to the pc and they money they would earn from it would probably exceed how much they would earn with selling it on the 360.
NinjaMunkey01
Didn't MS publish the first one?
Okay even if it does some how end up on the PC, who wants to wait a year or more for sloppy seconds? Not only that, but the online multiplayer portion of the game won't be to entertaining when no one is playing just like how the first game's PC counterpart online was.
As a matter of fact, you optimistic deniers care to post a link to where the dev of GeOW said that the orignal title wasn't coming to PC? Cause I don't remember hearing anybody saying that it wouldn't back in '06, or '07. How the hell you going to say that it will end up on the PC anyways, when the developer of the game himself confirmed it wouldn't? That's like a blind man telling somebody that the sky isn't blue.
SRSLY?! OMG WTF!! WOW!!! CMON EPIC SRLYSLYY PLZZ!!! NO!!!! DONT OD THISSS ARGHHH!~~!!!!!
SRSLY!(no, seriously, didnt we just have a huge"HAHA NO GOW2 FOR PC"thread yesterday, just leaves me more time to actually play games with depth and complexity, stlaker : cs, spore, the witcher enhanced, C&C red alert 3, and not to mention oall the complete PC dominant miltiplats saints row 2, gta 4, far cry 2, Dead space, Fallout 3, etc, etc, etc)
It'll come out on the PC. This is just PR fluff so it sells well on the 360. After awhile once sales have dwindled down, it will be ported to the PC. It might be ported by a different team and hence his comment "We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around", but it will make it's way over to PC. These kinds of comments are always made by console devs to increase sales, and then 8-12 months later we get a PC port in store shelves.karasill
Yep and then as usual PC gamers still wont care and will continue to play much better games..
[QUOTE="IgGy621985"][QUOTE="20XX"]Looks like you're gonna have to buy a 360 for the GOTY 2008
Phazevariance
lol, how about no?
Well, yeah. If 2008 GOTY is on 360, you need to buy it to own GOTY. Makes perfect sense. I mean unless you waste money on the ps3 couterpart and not have GOTY...
I have a brilliant idea.
How about not getting any of those console junk.
Problem solved!
Old news, but as I said before claiming this makes sense even if they do intend to release on PC.
People thinking it is coming to PC one day may hold off purchasing the game, denying a PC version will eventually result in these people buying the 360 version instead. Denying a later release maximises the sales of the initial release; this happened with Oblivion and has now happened to Bioshock. People who settled for the only version available may even later buy the game again on their preferred platform.
If it does come to PC I may pick it up, if not then there are plenty of other games to keep me entertained.
