What differentiates it from it's predecessor?ash10692Custom armor, Forge, theatre and a different campaign. See, you haven't played the game.

Honda outsells Mercedes. Shoot hyundai probably outsells mercedes. Don't make it better.
Timex over Rolex.
Walmart clothes over designers.jdang307
Wow you are way off on your comparisons. A mercedes costs anywhere from $40,000 to $1,000,000. While the most expensive Hyndaui is not even $40,000 dollars. For this comparison to work they would have to be the same price. Same thing with a Rollex and Timex. If they were the same price more people would buy a rolex.
What differentiates it from it's predecessor?ash10692If you have to ask then you haven't played it. Anyway.
Better graphics and soundtrack (given)
Improved A.I.
New enemies
Many enemies refined and improved
New Weapons
Equipment
New grenade types
Over the shoulder turrets
New vehicles
MORE EPIC!!!
4 player co-op
Replay feature
Forge
Custom armor
Vastly improved multiplayer (it's true stop pretending halo 2 was so great. It was, but now halo 3 crushed it)
Custom armor only makes your chief look different, forge is a waste of time where you can spawn weapons for yourself on multiplayer and the campaign missions i've had the misfortune of playing were a blocky mess, and just far too easy.ash10692Oh man just stop. You haven't actually played it, it's so obvious at this point.

I wouldn't slate a game I had never played. That would be a pointless waste of all of our time.

But yet you know nothing about Halo 3...I know that it is a game that is immensely disappointing compared with the previous installments.
Halo is an already extremely well established franchise, Microsoft could have stepped back and not advertise it at all - and the damn game would still stell amazingly.MS paid a lot of money for Halo 3 advertising, it doesn't take a good game to sell a lot, it just takes marketing.
So next time a company decides to put a ton of money into advertising a game, it will sell as much as Halo 3.

Nowhere close to it's numbers, to be honest. Especially the launch numbers, overtime it may match it.

Doesn't matter - it'll sell and make tons of cash no matter what. Launch numbers don't mean nothing, worthless numbers - it's only PR.[QUOTE="ash10692"]I know that it is a game that is immensely disappointing compared with the previous installments.DuDisNowHow is it immensely dissapointing? Tell me in a way where I know you played the game. Played around 3 or 4 campaign missions, one of which was called the Ark, which felt like the same landscape over and over again. And one level set in the jungle, was dark, and didn't credit the Xbox 360's visual quality at all. And as for forge, I simply regard spawning your own weapons as cheating. The multiplayer is probably the only feature I like about the game, but it has remained the same throughout the series. Just for the record, I like the first 2 Halo games and didn't intend for my opinions to come across as flaming. It's simply what I feel about the game.

At a friends, we played through some of the co-op the other day and I was less than impressed with it. Played multiplayer a few times, as I said thats not bad.ash10692Haha. Saw this coming. You don't even own an Xbox 360, do ya mate?
Across two different platforms - it barely exceeded Halo 3, an exclusive game.gta4 was the biggest launch in entertainment history. gta4>>>>halo3

I think halo is a pretty cool guy, eh shoots aliens and doesnt afraid of anythingEvz0rzYou're joking... right? Halo is not the name of the main character. :?
Acually it takes a combination of an amazing game and great marketing to get the sales that it achieved. Much like GTA4.MS paid a lot of money for Halo 3 advertising, it doesn't take a good game to sell a lot, it just takes marketing.
So next time a company decides to put a ton of money into advertising a game, it will sell as much as Halo 3.
