The only games for consoles that look good multiplyer wise are Killzone 2 (PS3), Halo: ODST (360), and The Conduit (Wii). Of course there will also be CoD6 but that is really late in the year. GRAW 3 might come out too. CoD:WaW and Left4Dead are good enough for me.
Maybe Fear2 will deliver on the online front this time, the first one definately had the potential, it just lacked proper structure. But yeah, it's looking kinda weakish, the only online FPS I'll get is BF Heroes ..and only cause it's free. That is unless something surprising like BF3 happens.
From what i played of the beta, KillZone 2 next year will be very good.
To be honest though, unless its a platform exclusive, dont expect to see too many stellar fps games around for the next couple of years. It seems to be becoming the shovelware genre of choice for the hardcore crowd, in that the majority of FPS and TPS, no matter their quality, will most likely jump straight into the top 10 on release.

Well said. This is exactly why I find it amusing when many, who call themselves 'hardcore' gamers, knock the industry for releasing the same casual-focused shovelware titles.
