No Sony Conference at Gamescom

I already made my statement but E3 2015 is pretty much what Sony needs to focus on then Gamescom to say the least.

there's no point anyway. They don't have any games for this fall, so the conference would be just a repetition of E3.

I was hoping otherwise, I really expected Sony to have an ace up their sleeve for the holiday season. What exclusives do they have coming after Uncharted? I could have sworn they had something else coming.

well that makes sense because of how close E3 and Gamescom will be this year.. that sucks though, Sony is the only thing i look forward to at that show.

Playstation Experience is too close to the artist formerly known as Liepzig so it doesn't surprise me. Gamescom is unfortunately caught in the middle between tgs and psx which means a keynote is pointless

Makes me wonder if Gamescom is still worth it for the big 3. I mean, MS hasn't been there for awhile, Ninty also hasn't (they've had demos, but not conferences or an "official" presence). Now Sony won't go either. Seems like they really need to rethink their strategy a bit or risk becoming a niche conference.

Damn, guess that will happen when you have nothing to actually show.

Unless Nintendo is at Gamescom I can entirely skip it.

I know others may disagree but I thought last couple of Sony E3's were a bit lackluster and diluting E3 announcements further for Gamescom just seems silly. All Sony has to do to keep their lead this gen is not **** up basically. They can score B- and C+'s every time because its pretty clear their competition don't have enough ammo to compete.

Not surprised. It looks like they already blew their load. I mean they could only show CGI footage or footage using PC or just game titles or live action ads and montages of all their future games with no solid release dates so much. Besides, I think they'll do that at E3 so it makes sense they're a no show at GamesCom.

Good. It may make them focus a bit harder on their E3 presentations because some of the recent sony E3 presentations were not that good. I can see why they decided to make this move since gamescon is closer to E3 now.

As long as there PS4 sells like hotcakes, they don't give a damn one way or another, there PS4 is the number one on the block.

Nice tactical move from Sony. They'll probably announce a PS4 price cut at their new conference in Paris (same day Halo 5 releases).

This E3 just got way more interesting now too, I was expecting the announcements to be split between E3 and Gamescom. Sony has a staggering amount of titles left to be announced, including most of their 1st party lineup.

Man, that sucks. I was planning on going to one of the future gamescom and it would be a real downer if publishers start backing out because it is to close to e3 (due to redundancy of their talks).

It doesn't really look like Sony has much going on as far as games are concerned so I'm not exactly surprised by this.

They said it is because this year, e3 and gamescom are only 6 weeks apart. So they are going to Paris game show instead in October. Simple as that folks. Continue on with the circle jerk though.
