343 Studio Lead Designer has left the studio for EA Visceral.

s2hZ2Hb.png

Former 343 Industries project lead designer Scott Warner lands at Dead Space studio working on unannounced game.

Halo 4 project lead designer Scott Warner has joined the Electronic Arts-owned Visceral Games, the developer announced on Twitter today.

So 343's lead designer has ditched Halo, and as we all know, Bungie already left Microsoft because they no longer wanted to develop Halo games.  It's funny how nobody wants to continue developing Halo, yet theres millions of 12 year olds who still want to play it. Halo really is the Justin Bieber of videogames.

It's amazing Microsoft has no studio at the level of Naughty Dog, SSM or Media Molecule (95 on meta lol).

First Don Mattrick ditched MS after he saw Xbox One would be a failure. Now MS can't even keep their lead designers of their best 1st party studios.

Is a huge franchise with a lot of followers. Nobody on their right mind would just abandon something like that.

Hell you have Sony still clinging to Killzone for some strange reason.

Actually, your statement about Bungie is completely false. They had a 10 year contract with MS and when it ended, they wanted to try a completely new IP out. There is nothing true about them leaving because they didn't want to work on halo with MS any more, but as a cow I wouldn't expect you to know that common knowledge.

Sony lets their developers create new IP. Do you think M$ would have ever allowed Naughty Dog to take a break from Uncharted and make TLOU? Not a chance.

Halo 4 sold over 8 million copies even though it had issues. The franchise is far from dead according to the recent global championship final live stream.343i just needs to capitalize on this.

Whatever you want, I guess. A developer moves on and thanks the community and 343 for being able to "take part in shaping the future of this great series"

You have your blinders on and will only see what you want to see, so there is no point in even replying to anything else you say.

Halo's old and tired.  if anyone still wants that gameplay kick they're just going to shift their eyes towards Destiny, not the hacks at 343.

Thats exactly when franchises should stop, when they are good and famous.

If they stop there, they have no chance to deteriorate.

Im very affraid that Dark Souls 2 wont live up to the first game because of that.

(not bothered with Ubisoft plans to make tons of AC games, none ever had enough quality to draw me in)

halo 4 was so damn linear, and the f*cking Door opening defense game with cortana, god was that awful.

343 might as well have made a freaking tower defense game.  What the hell were they thinking, such awful game design.

You are right, but Halo as a brand is still really popular, but 343i just needs to captalize on this more like by running tournaments like the global championship and etc, building a halo game that appeals to the fanbase and etc.

I hated the repetitve nature of the campaign to.I did not also like the linearity of the campaign either. I thought the defense sequences were fine anyway.

I wish gaming enthusiasts were capable of differentiating between 'disappointing in some aspects' and 'awful'. By gaming standards every Halo game since Halo 1 has been 'awful'. God knows what 90% of games are if Halo is awful. We must be constantly playing the worst things ever made.
